  1. FIM European 250cc Championship June 8, 2022 After completing four rounds of the British Youth Championship for the 250cc and 500cc classes in just over 3 weeks the month of June is now a quiet month ahead of a hectic July. The next two rounds take place on one day with Round 5 at Redcar on the 3rd July with a 11.30am start time then that evening Round 6 at Scunthorpe after their Championship fixture with Edinburgh. As well as the British Youth Championship, the Young Lions also will have representatives in both the FIM European 250cc Championship and European 250cc Pairs events primarily taking place in the Czech Republic and one event in Poland. Three out of the four current top 250cc riders will be representing Great Britain, current British 250cc Champion Luke Harrison will lead the British Team in the Pairs events along with Max James who has come runner up to Harrison in the last two years of the British 250cc Youth Championship. There will be two Pairs events taking place over a six day period with the European 250cc Championship taking place in between those dates. The first Pairs event will take place in Czestochowa Poland on the 7th July where Harrison and James will be joined by Ashton Vale as part of a three team pairs event. On the 9th July fellow British 250cc rider William Cairns will join Harrison, James and Vale in Liberec in the Czech Republic in the Semi Finals for the European 250cc Individual Championship in the hope of qualifying for the Finals which also will be at the Liberec venue on the next day the 10th of July. After hopefully competing in the Final on the 10th, Harrison, James, and Cairns will head south to Pardubice also in the Czech Republic to compete in Round 2 of the European 250cc Pairs Championship which takes place on the 12th July. The third and final round of the 250cc Pairs will take place in Randers Denmark on the 6th August. Young Lions boss Neil Vatcher explained this is massive dedication by all four British riders and their families to compete in these events across Europe representing Great Britain, as at this level none of the riders get any financial reimbursement from the organisers therefore all self-funded. If any supporters of British Speedway would like to support the British Riders with cost towards their travel, tyres or fuel please contact Neil Vatcher by email at neil@scbgb.co.uk
  2. Never mind the stream let's hope the track is better for the youth round tomorrow
  3. In all fairness not really interested in the bickering another young rider hurt doing what he loves for our enjoyment. Not sure many who were there and seen the crash are been critical that meeting was called off i for one ain't bothered more concerned Joe is ok.
  4. Tom gave some fantastic advice to my lad last night discussing riding lines and showing him how to prepare his gate properly.
  5. No he been to busy ruining every other thread to notice
  6. Was a fantastic meeting with some really good racing score doesn't reflect how good it was
  7. Unfortunately people don't like facts in speedway they only like the agenda that suits them
  8. Did you get any times for the second half racing please
  9. Good post personally thought James was in the mix all night and think the experience of been in good positions before losing out can only benefit him. Think the criticism of Laurence is wrong as he was proven right on this occasion.
  10. Well that's the most sensible thing you have said
  11. No idea regarding bust ups but I do believe there is some sponsorship connection
  12. Henry quits both clubs according to his Facebook page
  13. Track was to slick mate seems a recurring theme when we lose at home. Fair play to Plymouth though looked a decent outfit
  14. Good win for Plymouth against a team that carried 3 riders last night . Didnt think the racing was up to much last night as scunny Dan said in his preview it was super slick which never leads to a great spectacle. Hope Dan gets well soon as he was very good as expected last . Anyway never mind the result it's only speedway.
  15. Unbelievable comments on Simon who is a fantastic person in and around the pits . riding at 2 is the worst position in the team and he's maintaining his home average in a team built to win at home what more can you ask.
  16. In fairness it wasn't that aggressive typical of a move at scunny going into the turn
  17. It's only been 4 meetings for goodness sake give the kid a break
  18. I have no doubt about that we are set up to win at home away meetings don't seem high on our agenda
  19. And to think Lewy mocked scunny and Plymouth get smashed at home
  20. Putting the juniors on at the end is rubbish as all they get is a crap second hand track. More was learned today by sticking them on when track was good and watching them cope with it and make the required changes .
  21. Good lads is James can see it been tough first year for him though
  22. Not at all I'm saying sometimes mushrooms are best kept in the dark
