  1. So looks like 5 rides for Etheridge and 11 rides between Rutherford and wallinger - betting spread is set at 4 points between them (only that high as they will be same races!!) Also got to be a good bet that Cook will score over half points the whole team gets - Ostergaard looked enthusiastic but not fast last night, so 30 points may be optimistic!! Re post #26 put me down as a cynic!
  2. At Redcar tonight Shelby Rutherford confirmed he is riding for Panthers on Friday - don't know who for!
  3. Where is this rule which says three dates have to be offered, I've only found a rule stating if both parties can't agree BSPA will dictate date to run meeting? And if it is one of these rules the supporters never get to see written down does it state they have to be by a certain date ?
  4. Of course you then get into scenario of home promotions offering dates and away teams turning them down, I assume in those instances you would advocate the home promotion be awarded the points?
  5. Anyone else notice that recent press releases and pieces in Speedway Star are having more frequent references to finances? For example - Highlighting losses on certain meetings, how all bills should(!) be paid by end of season, and now the fact that Edinburgh is going to result in "a wage-bill running into thousands of pounds" (NB I thought home promotion paid all points/prize money so is this on top of standard money??) I may be reading too much into this - any thoughts!!
  6. Shelby Rutherford - now that is the cheap option ............. and highlights importance Ipswich view a win being required
  7. Don't know all your answers, but from previous information I understand this Friday was available to any of Somerset, Glasgow or Peterborough and eventually Somerset agreed even though they would have to get a number of guests in. Edinburgh probably would have done a double header if teams had been willing - just to add another variable when Redcar/Plymouth both rode was that not a possibility I'm sure they would have swopped to let a higher priority fixture take place (but again we mortals do not know who has offered declined etc.) Is Rich Hall grasstracking /longtracking ? Somerset's missing riders are injured or doubling up in Elite league I think most promoters put their own spin on situations, so IMO Ged is maybe being a bit biased with his view on the reluctance to rearrange to suit his exact requirements
  8. At present teams look like Redcar 1. David Bellego 2. Tobias Busch 3. Hugh Skidmore 4. R/R (JBA) 5. Lasse Bjerre 6. Jye Etheridge 7. Lee Payne Rye House 1. ???? Eddie Kennett ??? 2. Kasper Lykke 3. R/R (Heeps) 4. Leigh Lanham 5. Stuart Robson 6. Rob Branford 7. Ben Morley No news about whether Kennett is fit or who guest is if not, surely this has been decided now!! Whilst all focus is on Foxhall and Ipswich fighting for a play off place , Newcastle trying to get a bye into playoff semis, this match is the real biggie tonight - win for Redcar will move them off the bottom and put pressure on Plymouth whilst Rye still have a chance to get the wooden spoon (or even rise to heading heights of 8th!!) Loss of JBA is a real blow for the Bears means more riders for the reserves and if they reproduce recent form then Morley/Branford are in for a bumper payday and all pressure will be on top 4 to drop very few points. One hope for bears is if Rockets TM is up to his usually standard!!! For anyone going don't forget it's your chance to vote for Bear of the year Logic says Bellego - heart says Bukhave (or is it alcohol talking!!)
  9. From what we have seen I think team sprit would be excellent with Bjerre and (insert rider of choice) in there
  10. Branching out into physical exercise classes now - whatever next
  11. I'm afraid the second part of your name has never been more appropriate
  12. From recent reports they are more concerned about levelling the track .......... and stadium!!
  13. When they say doublig up I assume it is only one match with score counting for both ?? Are TRs allowed in Premier Shield? If not you could have a rider on a TR for the league match but not Shield and have two different scores ongoing!! Only in speedway
  14. Was actually referring to all of the other 12 PL teams in action, not just Worky/Panthers!
  15. Whilst disappointed with the result I have to say well done to Lewis Kerr, after the events of last season even Bears fans have to be delighted to see him scoring big points again ( most would have been happy to see him come to watch speedway at one point!). Good Luck for the future Lewis, hope your improvement continues
  16. And if they have a big enough gap they make it up twice!!
  17. Scott Courtney's assessment of getting thumped at Rye "This was another good effort for the Bandits" obviously has low expectations!
  18. I'm amazed so many teams don't bother - specifically for the scenario I outlined above - I guess they don't want additional costs, but at home there must be a local junior to have as a standby??
  19. The real big risk (especially running r/r for your 5th average rider) is getting an injury early in a meeting - especially pavlova - you then would have potentially 1 rider in some heats and/or have Phillips taking 7 rides - if this was a play off match could be difference between winning/losing overall so I can fully understand why you are looking to get a full team in place
  20. Nobody is the least bit surprised your girlfriend is eyeing up other men, even the 70 year old gate attendant is a better option You are right - Somerset and Glasgow are shi**ing themselves, but through laughing at your postings!
