  1. I wondered what had happened to him. He was showing up well at the Brummies at one time.
  2. Apparently, yes and two. And to answer DC2, Birmingham have signed a Dane, Tobias Thomsen, as an asset (probably because of this rule) without him riding for the team.
  3. When he rode for Birmingham in 2009, he was obviously headed for the top: he was faster than Jason Lyons, and not many could say that. But then he was injured ... I hope that he has decided to retire now.
  4. My point, which I thought was obvious, is why anyone would go over 70 miles, an hour and a half each way, to Swindon when there is a track just down the road?
  5. Alan Phillips didn't pay the whole of the transfer fee, so the deal fell through IIRC.
  6. Weston? That's next to Somerset speedway.
  7. Ellis isn't riding in the Champiuonship next season.
  8. Possibly because, like myself, the signers aren't from that area?
  9. Yes, he did, and he will be a Birmingham asset. See the Brummies website.
  10. They have always done this, I remember doing it myself upwards of seventy years ago!
  11. Why is that? He was actually very popular in both of his previous sessions with the club.
  12. Ours (now sold) had a proprietary cover with 'Ashtec Eng.' on it. When it got too shabby, I bought a black plastic one to replace it when the engine was rebuilt (black mainly because I thought is looked more flash!). We changed the oil after every meeting, but this was in amateur/MDL level.
  13. He rode in all three leagues last season. He shouldn't have any difficulty in finding a Championship place; in any case, it is time that he left the NL behind.
  14. Nothing. It is just a plastic segment which covers the cam sprocket.
  15. Development League and amateur riders use worn tyres all the time.
  16. Admittedly it has been a few years since I went to RH, but I thought that this had been done by the last owners?
  17. So why are you? In real life (as opposed to your fantasies), this has all been explained: see guitar-art's post above.
  18. It's no use argueing with closed minds ...
