In fact, he (and Russell) both said Studley is NOT dependent on the Abbey housing. Swindon Motorsports have been asked to legally link the Studley and Abbey plans to make Studley dependent on S106 monies from the Abbey. They have repeatedly refused to do so! Park actually said "he would walk away from Studley" if they were forced to link it to the Abbey plans. Go figure...

Earmarked for housing to allegedly fund the refurbishment and reopening of the Grade 2 listed swimming pool.

The Abbey Stadium planning applications are scheduled to be decided upon next Tuesday (10th) from 18.00. The SBC Planning Officer's Reports recommend the applications are rejected.

Very naive way of looking at it. -

Swindon Speedway 2013 Director Steve Park has submitted a letter to SBC supporting the demolition of the Abbey Stadium! He claims rejection of the plans "will end any possibility of a return of speedway to Swindon" - bizarrely, he earlier claims that Studley Grange is "currently making progress through the planning stages." So, which is it, Steve? Will the weird logic of failure to remove the only speedway track in the locality really end all hope? Or are you delivering a new track? I'll let others speculate on what a speedway company director could possibly gain from the loss of the only speedway facility... https://pa.swindon.gov.uk/publicaccess/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=T2SDBXPTIS200

Yes. These are Gaming International's leisure box-ticking proposals for the Abbey - alongside 130 houses (with 8 'affordable') proposed by L&G. The fantasy plans for the "new" facility are still in a "consultation" statua with Wilts Council with no date set for a decision yet.

I think it will be easier for CO to claim that it's impossible for Speedway to survive in Swindon.

£30 message video from Cameo, using paper pulled from a leftover Xmas gift bag in Linda's bedroom. This is bad, even for speedway 😀 -
Started listening but got bored pretty quickly - lots of words with little substance. Godfrey was far from convincing.

Sad news coming through that former Sheffield number one Bob Valentine passed away this morning.

What a silly comment. As a Swindon fan, I sincerely hope your team don't end up where Osborne has put ours (amongst others!)
-
Osborne will be well advanced in his conversations with them.
-
So good they named it twice.
-
I see the names Osborne and Lewis and the talk of a new venue. It's Swindon playbook all over again. Osborne will have the Council covered, no doubt about that. As much of a loathsome man he may be, he is very good at covering the angles and playing the long game.

Well. That was pointless lads! -
Me too. I have to say the service in Swindon has been brilliant. I've not had a late delivery for months.
