Nobody knows what Mrs Osborne's appetite and plans are going to be - has Osborne left instruction and things in place to progress in a certain direction? It wouldn't surprise me at all. Osborne gone doesn't automatically mean things will be any easier

It was always just a cover story to try and tick NPPF leisure replacement requirements and gain planning permission for houses on the Abbey. I would imagine Steve Park will eventually dissolve Swindon Motorsports.
-
A new charge against the company with Ashen Capital was recently logged. I would be surprised if Osborne hasn't laid foundations for the next attempt to redevelop the Abbey. As before, they'll be the only foundations that will get laid!

Osborne made several changes to hus businesses in recent times. GI has passed to his wife. Time will tell what her intentions are.
-
Yep. Passed away on Tuesday.
-
Just seen a post on social media stating that former Boston, King's Lynn and Cradley rider Arthur Price passed away yesterday, aged 80.
-
I thought it is Eric Dugard who is being a difficult arse?
-
And the main factor that joins BE and GI's playbook? DPP Planning.
-
It's the same Planning Organisation involved (DPP Planning), so the similarity with the Swindon situation is as plain as day.

1979 finalist and former Eastbourne rider Robert Slabon passed away on Sunday.
-
As of the 15th of this month, Rob Painter is no longer a Director. David Rodwell replaces.
-
Bob's son has reported on Facebook that Bob passed away last night, aged 90.

There's a charge on Gaming International's Companies House account to L&G Affordable Homes who submitted the rejected housing plans. Gaming International are listed as owners on the Title Deed.

The fact Mr Park was so keen to support the demolition of the stadium would certainly suggest he stands to gain something from it! There are people keen to run the sport in Swindon, but that's very hard to take forward whilst dear old Uncle Clarke still owns the stadium.
-
You're right. But the point stands that multi-use opportunities are there IF the owner WANTS to make a success of the stadium.
-
And a Motorcycle training business. You're absolutely spot on. Asset Stripping or Corporate Vandalism sums it up nicely
-
If you run it into the ground with no investment and no diverse uses, it's bound to struggle!
-
Planning for houses has been refused.

Swindon fans (in the main) don't see this as a material change. Swindon Speedway 2013 LTD wasn't operating and no longer had any association with running speedway in Swindon (BSPL have the licence). This move was entirely predictable with Terry passing away and Park now being Osborne's puppet in Swindon Motorsports and their pretend new track.
-
How do you reach that conclusion from this?

Oxford V Poole 15/4/26 BSN 1st leg
frigbo replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well, that wasn't a classic was it!? Any movement off the blue groove and riders just went backwards. Took my Mrs to her first meeting since 2003 and she simply said "it's not as exciting as it used to be is it?" You can't dish that sort of meeting up regularly.and hope to take the sport forward! -
