  1. Update to my previous post. Zielona Gora have just won in Wroclaw, somehow... 44:46. Bydgoszcz 8th, ZG 7th before the race-off then. And we have a match for nothing, this Sunday
  2. Exactly! That's what I've been saying from the very beginning of this discussion! Poles were perfectly set up for the Leszno track but so were Danes later on. They won most races in the 4th series of heats. As for Gollob in Prague. No one understands that guy. He can be brilliant or totally rubbish.. Certainly his time has passed by and I've got used to it. Hampel and Holta did great in both Leszno and Prague, unlike Gollob. So comparing his performace in both meetings and then building all these conspiracy theories doesn't make much sense really.
  3. See, this way I can say that Brits must have cheated at Coventry as they were so damn fast there comparing to their pathetic performance at Leszno..
  4. It's not an opinion, it's just bullrubbish. You surely can't reconcile with the defeat and it's become even more pathetic. On the other hand, it's been making me more and more satisfied with this victory over your team and riders who I sincerely hate now. If that FIM representative was really drunk, then why is it our fault? Riders, mechanics or fans kept buying him Lech throughout the whole meeting? And why did Staechmann mention this so late? If that's true, he should've done something with this just after the meeting, shouldn't he? Bikes examination proved nothing illegal. At the meetings like SGP and SWC all bikes are fueled from the same drum and then refueled after each heat. So how on earth could Poles run on a special methanol? Tell me. It's easy to accuse, harder to prove anything, isn't it? Don't be surprised at not being welcomed warmly in Poland next time. For me and other fans you're finished here, at least for some time..
  5. It's very unlikely AJ will be back for the Malilla GP already.
  6. Who wasn't ? Polish zlotys, precisely.. Nothing new, it's been known for ages it was mostly Lech brewery and Gollob's white-red army that kept Grand Prix series going in the late 90s and Polish fans are still some proper boost of money from SGPs and SWCs.. Anyway, the whole thing, I mean Danes' moans make me sick now
  7. "I can't verify that Danes are gays. But I think they are".
  8. With Bydgoszcz losing in Czestochowa and Tarnow winning over Leszno some things have become clear already. The two teams that will be fighting for survive in Ekstraliga are gonna be my beloved Polonia Bydgoszcz and Tommy's Zielona Gora. The rest of the teams forms the top 6 and will be riding in their play-offs. Zielona Gora still have one match in hand, away against Wroclaw, but if they don't "give it s miss", no way Falubaz can win it. Three matches in a row between Bydgoszcz and ZG then, all should be absolute crackers. The first one is the last match the main part of the season (round 14th, this Sunday) and in this case decides what team will finish 7th before this so called race-off. Then, on September 2nd and 16th, two matches for staying up in Ekstraliga. The aggregate winner finishes on the 7th place and rides the next race-off against the second team of Division 1 and the aggregate loser finishes on the 8th place = falls down. It's worth finishing 7th before the race-off as then you have the second match of the race-off at home and in case of an aggregate draw the higher placed team wins. Bydgoszcz won the match in Zielona Gora at the beginning of the season (46:43) and all things being well we should beat Falubaz again this Sunday = finish 7th. From Bydgoszcz' point of view, it's good we have nearly one month of break between the round 14th and the race-off matches as this should be enough time for AJ to recover. Round 14th - the last one, Aug 5th: Bydgoszcz v Zielona Gora (46:43 so far) Race-off - 1st leg, Sep 2nd: 8th_located_team v 7th_located_team Race-off - 2nd leg, Sep 16th: 7th_located_team v 8th_located_team Current table (matches / points): 1. Leszno - 13 / 23 2. Torun - 11 / 19 3. Rzeszow - 13 / 16 4. Czestochowa - 12 / 15 5. Tarnow - 13 / 14 6. Wroclaw - 11 / 13 ------------------------------------------ 7. Zielona Gora - 12 / 10 8. Bydgoszcz - 13 / 9
  9. The Polish Championship team were decorated by the president of Poland during a special visit in the President's Palace - some pics from this. Personally I think our president is a w@nker but it's good for speedway that this success have been noticed among people who are normally not into it.
  10. I put my bets on Hampel, Jagus, Nicholls and Crump. They all reached the semis, Jarek and Scott even reached the final but obviously Pedersen had to take all of my money Andreas has broken his shoulder, that's what first diagnosis says. Going to Sweden now where he's gonna have an operation.. Out for coming matches then.
  11. Czestochowa - Bydgoszcz (19:00 cet) Torun - Wroclaw (19:00, live on Polsat Sport) Zielona Gora - Rzeszow (19:00) Tarnow - Leszno (17:00) Postponed matches of XI round: 1st Aug: Torun - Czestochowa (19:30) 2nd Aug: Wroclaw - Zielona Gora (18:00) Current table (matches / points): 1. Leszno - 12 / 23 2. Torun - 11 / 19 3. Rzeszow - 12 / 15 4. Wroclaw - 11 / 13 5. Czestochowa - 11 / 12 6. Tarnow - 12 / 11 ------------------------------------------ 7. Bydgoszcz - 12 / 9 8. Zielona Gora - 11 / 8
  12. Released from the hospital - nothing's been broken, he's "just" seriously bruised.
  13. A few videos from the final, uploaded for my friends mostly (know the rest won't want to watch it..): Intro by my mate Lawrence - this is a bit stupid , two hours before Atmosphere at the stadium - about 30 mins before Presentation of the teams - GB, Polska!!!, boo, Leigh Leigh Leigh Adams!!! The national anthem of Poland - Jeszcze Polska nie zginela... Heat 23 - KK beating Nicki P - first step to the Championship Heat 24 - Hampel 2nd - only one point ahead of Danes Heat 25 - Gollob beating 'em all - we're simply the best! All vids are wmv, from 6 to 35 megs so it may take a while..
  14. Ye, that would be very neutral Just don't say that Cardiff is in Wales. I won't be very interested 'cause I know it's very likely they won't do well, the same as in most GPs recently. All this theories about special bikes bought by the Polish Motorcycle Federation especially for the SWC just make me laugh! They don't care about speedway at all. No way they provided any special engines or whatever to the Polish team. We were just perfectly set-up for this track, that's it. Unlike the British riders who couldn't find lines at the track and proper set-ups for this extremely wide track (comparing to British ones). And I'm sure we're gonna have a similar story, just the other way round, if SWC is held in GB next year - Poles struggling to keep inside and Brits flying like at Coventry. PS. And yes, there's also something called a will to win. The boys were just desperate to win this in front of the fantastic, over 20 thousand crowd.
  15. ..or the Old Square in Leszno before the meeting (link)
  16. My pics from the final -> direct link Will upload videos tomorrow, off to bed now.
  17. Yeah, but who cares? I don't know who made up this stupid rule about the reserve rider but I'm more than sure if the Danish team had any weakest link they would get this regulation round the same way. With a sincere approval from the most pathetic man of recent days - Ole O. And hey, didn't Australia and GB use their reserve riders as well ? Anyway, thanks to Danes for being a tough rival and providing us lots of excitement in the final but such comments showing your frustration only make me more satisfied and proud of this victory. Brits had their night of glory in Cardiff, we had ours in Leszno, surely Danes will have theirs in a close future too.
  18. Of course Torun smashed them 57-33 which we are very grateful for
  19. POLSKA!!!!! Have just got home from Leszno It was a magic night, this final was perfect. There was everything there - lots of fight at the track, a close result (well, between Poles and Danes ) decided in the last heat, stunning atmosphere at the full stadium and of course Crump doing the tape as a joker Will upload lots of pics and vids later tonight. And ye, F U Ole O.!
  20. Czestochowa - Leszno (19:00 cet) Bydgoszcz - Tarnow (19:00) Zielona Gora - Torun (20:00) Rzeszow - Wroclaw (19:30, live on PolsatSport)
  21. A stupid decision IMHO but time will tell.. Anyway, the team's 80% Polish again Leaving tomorrow morning to spend the whole day in Leszno enjoying the atmosphere of SWC
  22. Neither have I.. And as for the track. It was quite good today but as they said on Polish Canal+, Olsen complained about it a lot. He wanted it to be much more slick. However, the guys responsible for the track didn't do anything what he ordered.. It might be harder to resist on Saturday as Danes will be riding but hopefully they won't listen to that idiot either and the track will be the same.
  23. It was mentioned in another thread. And to be precise, I'll be at the final on Saturday only, not at the race-off.
  24. Check this video - Holta in yellow, Kasprzak in red.. It was probably season 2005 (not sure..). Holta caused this crashed and since that he's been hated by all Leszno fans. However, just after that, still lying at the track he was kicked by Kasprzak's brother, who was later on suspended for a few months. Balinski also faced a charge of kicking Holta and getting involved in that riot but he was cleared of it, as far as I remember.
