It's been said in one of local newspapers that a big company, which is going to be Ekstraliga's main sponsor since next season, wishes a league built up with 10 teams. That's why they started thinking about the wild cards then and now it's almost certain this rule will be introduced. It's also very likely that having a 10-team Ekstraliga, Division 1 and 2 will be merged and only Polish teams will be allowed to ride in the new Division 1.. What rumours say is that the company is from Bydgoszcz Anyway, this all sounds good to me

If it was up to me I'd put Dobrucki instead of Balinski in. But Balinski instead of Holta is not a bad idea either.

I've just found out that the date of my maths repeat exam was set for September 10th, 8 am.. which means I'm not going to Ostrow It was a tough decision but this is one of those exams I HAVE TO pass. If you have a proper budget, facilities, no debts etc. you can buy yourself a place in Ekstraliga. Cool, in'it? A bit like BEL, I guess. If you have enough money and wanna ride in the best league you can do it. At the moment there are about 3-4 teams in Division 1 that could compete in Ekstraliga if they had just a bit stronger line-ups - Gorzow, Gdansk, Ostrow, Rybnik.. And only the winner of Division 1 is promoted + the second team if they beat the 7th team of Ekstraliga in a race-off. Why not to allow them to buy a wild card and race in Ekstraliga if they can afford this? This way we could have a 10 team Ekstraliga which would be great. And this way Polonia could stay up even if the worst comes.. I really hope we'll fight our place in Ekstraliga at the track, not buying that wild card but if we lose everything, there might be this another solution.. Torun would be laughing at us because of that wild card but who cares actually. Staying in a lower league for some time would kill speedway in Bydgoszcz, I'm afraid. People here are just not used to this as we've been in Ekstraliga since ever (1951).. So, if there might be a possibility to buy a wild card, do it. I think the regulations for this year would remain (1 team out, 1 team in + the race-off) and then, after the season they release two (for example) wild cards and those two clubs which buy it join Ekstraliga. The rumour says it might cost about 500'000 zl (about 90'000 quid), the same as in Polish basketball league where this system have been working for a few years. An average budget of an Ekstraliga club is about 4-5 million zl.

I don't have any video of this on my pc but I saw this match on telly and must admit that Rzeszow are right. Gollob did have two wheels over the line and should've been excluded. However, the ref didn't see it, the match result was approved and now it's simply too late for their moans I think..

Yeah, it was better than I expected after recent pathetic matches.. 36 points without AJ and Buczkowski is not a disgrace I think.

I've got to look after someone this time in Bydgoszcz so I'm not sure if I'll visit traditional spots like Brda and Chesterfields.. Far from impossible but this yr's repertoire might be a bit different

I know City Hotel is not cheap but it's in the centre of all action actually. Within a walking distance to the stadium, old sqr and clubs in the town centre. And it has its own club beneath, which is usually quite popular among riders and fans, especially on Saturday night after the GP. I know it's all about the money, but I'd recommend the City the most. As for the hotels you mentioned - Centrum and Maraton. They are not really close to the town centre. You'd need to take a cab to move between your hotel, the stadium and all entertainment spots.. Check out Brda and Pod Orlem hotels too. The first one is cheaper than the City and lots of Brits stay there every year. Pod Orlem is the best hotel in Bydgoszcz probably, but shouldn't be more expensive than the City.

We'll be probably riding without AJ, Davidsson and Buczkowski.. Just don't go there
