  1. 3. If the scores are shared between the two teams taking part in the Race Offs heats 22 & 23. Final 2 heat 22 (Semi Final) and Final 2 heat 23 (Grand Final), the team taking 2nd and 3rd position will be considered the better place team.
  2. 2a. In the event of equal points for two teams after the conclusion of the heat 42, the team that scored the most points when the two teams met will be considered the better placed team. 2b. If the tie cannot be decided by 2a. The team scoring the higher number of bonus points will be considered the better placed team. 2c. In the event of equal points for three or more teams, after the conclusion of the qualification heats, the team scoring the higher number of bonus points will be considered the better placed team.
  3. Whilst not intending this as a slight on Coventry Storm, oops, I mean Bees, or any other NL team, Eastbourne and Birmingham really looked the part in their team race suits. Eastbourne even had matching green boots!
  4. Respectfully, what is the answer then?
  5. Smolinski talking to Poole! Revealed at Longtrack Herxheim.
  6. Maybe his contract with Denmark was signed when it was declared that GB Speedway would be Monday & Thursday?
  7. To prevent sudden large changes in CL averages the Rolling Average matches reduces gradually (to 20) during this season. Last season's Green Sheets were based on up to 36 matches. To drop to 20 immediately would have wiped out almost half a season's stats. May's RA is based on 30 matches and the figure will reduce by 2 matches each month.
  8. Correct, again. Supplementary Regulation to be issued shortly.
  9. You are correct. Championship Shield matches are included in the Rolling Average.
  10. From the Save Coventry Speedway website. http://www.savecoventryspeedway.com/ THE latest show of support for the campaign to bring speedway and stock car racing back to Brandon has come direct from Westminster.A group of eleven Members of Parliament/House of Lords have submitted a joint letter to Rugby Borough Council, urging rejection of the Brandon Estates planning application. This speculative application, on a site which is not part of the Rugby Local Plan, seeks to destroy decades of sporting heritage and includes no satisfactory provision for the two popular family sports to be relocated elsewhere in the area. The letter not only calls on the Council to reject the application; it also urges them to support efforts to bring the sports back to Brandon. It is signed by a number of local MPs as well as others who have shown solidarity with the unacceptable position all fans of motorsports at Coventry have been placed in, and has been brought about thanks to speedway’s All Party Parliamentary Group. The Campaign Group would like to sincerely thank all of the MPs and Lords who have taken such an interest in our fight, and who have signed the letter, and especially Mark Pawsey and his office for co-ordinating this response.
  11. Apparently, there has now been a *U-Turn/*Rethink/*Clarification (*delete as appropriate) regarding the Green Sheets. 2017 averages WILL be included this year for a 20 match Rolling Average. Riders who do not have a 2017 average will maintain their starting average until they have completed 4H & 4A.
  12. I wasn't there, but maybe riders were moving? 15.2.9.1 After a pause of not less than 1½ seconds, sufficient to enable the Riders to spin their engines and focus attention, and provided all riders are stationary the Referee shall release the Tapes to signify the start.
  13. Yes! Poole Kurtz, Woryna, Grajczonek, Szczepaniak, Sundstrom, J Jenkins. Weymouth Batchelor, Wells, Tungate, Garrity, Klindt, A Bowtell.
  14. Reducing averages won't help until the Riders have done 4H & 4A.
  15. Kennett's injury was sustained at the Swingfield European Grasstrack semi-final yesterday. (Sunday). He didn't fall, but from where I was standing (3rd-4th bend) it looked like he jarred his left leg on turns 1-2. He rode outside the circuit towards the 3rd bend in obvious agony, and fell off his m/c just before the pits.
  16. I'm not sure when, or if, your interpretation was the case, but for as long as I have been interested in Averages, it's been all rides in a meeting.
  17. You are right (for once) .. Poole are making themselves look worse than they do on paper!
  18. Wow! Just read through it all. What an excellent piece of work by the SCS committee. Their rebuttal of Brandon Estates spurious statements is superb. Good Luck!
  19. Yeah.. a bit like Poole v Lakeside a few years ago?
