Matt Ford said that his (and I presume all CL Clubs) 'office costs' of around £12,000 are covered by the Discovery payment. By office costs, I presume that is his club's contribution to the running of the Rugby based HQ.

I would just like to say thanks to the forum members who are looking in to the proceedings and keeping us aware of what is going on. I watch a bit when able, but, like others, miss large sections and are not aware sometimes who is actually questioning and responding. Can't believe that they've spent nearly 3 days debating 3G pitches!!
-
Because they know that a stand-alone stadium needs Stox (and other users) as a support, so are mainly concentrating on the Speedway side of it, as if to prove their point. They ignore the Stox input as much as they can.
-
All this discussion regarding the 3G pitch is a bit puzzling to me. Aren't BE planning to include one?
-
He (Neil Allen) is appearing on behalf of the council, not a witness for SCS.
-
Maybe their QC is labouring the point as a filibuster tactic to prevent Matt Ford giving evidence at a crucial time, whilst the developers objectively have the upper hand.
-
A guest who is eligible for the home leg (+5% of the missing rider's average) may therefore not be eligible for the away leg anyway.
-
Good tactics from the questioner. Knows the witness is like a rabbit in headlights and continually using a minor point to make it a bigger issue than what it really is, to sway the whole process.

GB Team for Roden is Chris Harris, Andrew Appleton. Zach Wajtknecht and Paul Hurry(R)

SAVE COVENTRY SPEEDWAY MEDIA INFORMATION E-mail: pressoffice@savecoventryspeedway.com THE Planning Inquiry hearing into Brandon Stadium gets underway on Tuesday September 19. This follows on from the decision of Rugby Borough Council's Planning Committee last November, in which they unanimously refused the Brandon Estates planning application. The developers then appealed that decision, and the inquiry will now take place over an 8-day period featuring speakers and witnesses from all parties. There will be representatives from Brandon Estates, the Council (as they defend their decision to refuse the application) and from the Save Coventry Speedway & Stox Campaign Group as a Rule 6 party. We will be providing witnesses from both speedway and stock car racing to give evidence on our behalf, and they will also be subject to cross-examination. The process will be detailed and will cover a wide range of topics, and a final decision is not expected until several weeks after the inquiry. However, the proceedings can all be followed via a livestream and we are sure many supporters will wish to make use of this facility. The link for the session on Tuesday September 19 (from 10am) is as below, and subsequent days' streams will be available from the Rugby Borough Council YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Quacfny1d3c We believe we have prepared thoroughly for this vital inquiry, and we look forward to hearing the evidence from all sides and having the opportunity to state our case in support of the Planning Committee’s original decision.

Who said he was after the Wild Card? Surely another British Champion title was uppermost in his thoughts. He would then have declined the Wild Card.
-
The regs actually went against normal FIM procedure where countback (heat Wins etc.) takes precedence, and then who-beat-who.
-
I'm afraid that is not Ianb's MO. First of all it was Chris Harris daring to have ambition to be a World Champion, whilst being the Captain of Leicester. Then it was Tyre changes. And now Coin Toss. You haven't heard the last of it, believe me!

2nd September. Pardubice
-
Ashton has been included, as the Reserve, in the GB U19 Pairs squad in Pardubice, along with Sam Hagon and Joe Thompson.
-
Simon has passed his final assessment, and is now a Referee. He is on a probationary status where he takes full charge of a meeting with an established Referee (Paul Carrington tonight?) also in attendance, but not necessarily in the Referees box.
