  1. Absolutely the rider's have been punished, the SCB have investigated and acted quickly. What's not to like
  2. I've always quite liked the team jackets and I'm surprised they don't sell at the track shop. Looks like the track shop is as about as good as the web site.
  3. Looks like Ipswich are going to appeal Kennetts ban
  4. Accept what you say but in the case of an on line shop the end justifies the means as people can go shop for their Berwick hats, jackets etc any day of the week and not just a Saturday night, in fact they would never need to attend a meeting ever.
  5. And judging by his effort at Sheffield tonight doing a very decent job a making sure he secures a job somewhere next year, think is Wells isn't the only rider up to it.
  6. The funds that Berwick have to spend mean they find it virtually impossible for them to compete with bigger richer clubs that find money easy to find much the same with sponsorship. For Berwick to get the kind of riders on the kind of money they would want would put the future very much at risk, look at Workington last season, won everything, best team and all credit to them but that success came at a huge price. I would hope there is an ambition at Berwick to compete but we need to have a future and sadly that means to live within our means.
  7. The clubs web site is about the only way of getting news to their supporters so you would think they would want to get their message out, certainly previews of meetings which didnt happen for last nights match. The web site was described as patchy yesterday and thats about right, for example there is no on line shop where people can buy merchandise, it was promised on the site last year but as yet is to happen.
  8. If its true that Cook gets two days extra as he has previous then that does seem very lenient.
  9. So that was that, actually thought the track look reasonable especially when you consider the rain we have had yesterday and this morning, then the heavens opened and the track quickly became flooded. Couple of things, massive thanks to the kind soul who handed my season pass in. I collected it tonight as I entered, once again thanks. Dont know if it was announced but I found a bank card outside the stadium tonight, it was just as you approached the turnstiles.I handed it into the box who were going to announce it but probably never got the chance, I hope it finds its owner..
  10. Wouldn't you just know it. Currently sitting in a biblical shower
  11. Berwick Speedway needs volunteers and without them I doubt very much speedway would be able to continue at Berwick and I take my hat off to every single one of them. Problem i have is that every time something is mentioned, poor PR, patchy website, poor track prep etc, you get the response go and help, or go and do better. Its not about that.
  12. Still cloudy but just about dry. Could I suggest we by pass a parade tonight and get on with racing at 7pm.
  13. Thanks to Birmingham picking up points of late Berwick are now bottom of the league, so its top versus bottom tonight. Glasgow must be looking at an away win.
  14. I agree about the POD post that was ridiculous and completely un-called for. Personally I will always post weather updates on the day of a meeting, if nothing else to assist those who have a distance to travel, thankfully something I dont really have as I`m five minutes from the track.
  15. One piece of team news I think that Alfie Bowtel is in for the injured Leon Flint.
  16. Why, I along with others are a consumer, a customer, a fan, a supporter, though for the last two you will need to ask our centre green presenter into which category I go. Its up to the club to attract people to Shielfield to see the meeting tonight, looking at the website up to time of writing you would think there is no meeting happening.
  17. We had a lot of rain yesterday and a little more earlier this morning, currently its dry and bright but as you say the forecast is a bit iffy. At the minute there is nothing to say the match wont go ahead.
  18. Saturdays`s forecast, currently cloudy with light drizzle. Giving the amount of rain we had yesterday we could really do with a dry day. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  19. Thankfully somebody does a preview for this meeting, looks like we`re back to Friday teatime preview from the Berwick site.
