  1. Surely even Gary May is running out of excuses for his rider, track was the same for everyone and even the two young Somerset reserves put in some kind of effort, ok they did struggle but lack of experiencecwas a factor there, something that Schlein shouldve had to his advantage.
  2. As others have said it wasnt exactly a classic last night mostly down to the track conditions which were difficult to say the least but giving the rain we had yesterday we were lucky to see any speedway at all so well done to the Berwick track staff. Somerset made a shrewd choice of guest in Ben Barker as he was the most entertaining rider on show and while his team mates did the best they could it was never going to be good enough to stop Berwick, all his team mates that is apart from Rory Schlein who was a disgrace, totaly unprofessional and an embarrassment to Somerset Speedway, IMO the quicker they are rid of him the better, especially those Somerset fans on the back straight who made the times money and effort to come all this way to support their team, theyvdeserve better. Hopefully the BSPA will get Schlein as far away as possible from our younger riders. Finally I'm Not sure if anyone from the club reads these pages but please can we put an immediate stop to announcing results from meetings that are live at tv on a Saturday night. Yes I know yesterday's SoN meetingsvwss in the afternoon and yes the club put the Berwick meeting back to accommodate those wanting to watch the SoN but there stil some who were recording the tv meeting and didn't want to know the results, sadly out centre green announcer couldnt waitv to announce the Australia win.
  3. We had a very heavy shower couple of hours ago, very heavy. It has been dry for the last hour now. Clouds all around but at time of writing it is dry.
  4. Taken from Berwick Speedway Facebook page WE’RE STILL ON TONIGHT! We’ve had a few hefty downpours early this afternoon but with the weather clearing up it’ll be business as usual tonight for the Bandits! Track staff have held back on watering the surface over the last 24 hours to allow the rain water to do the hard work. Don’t forget we will be starting at the slightly later time of 7:30pm tonight to allow fans to enjoy the Speedway of Nations Live on BTSport 1 from 3:45pm. Bandits vs Rebels Shielfield Park Stadium Tonight
  5. No just dont post speedway meetings are off when they are not, I mean how hard can it be
  6. But he is right your post saying the meeting is off is entirely incorrect.
  7. If you have nothing to say then best to say nothing. Berwick Speedway have posted on their Facebook page that the meeting is still on, just had a very heavy shower so that may change but currently speedway still on. Time to delete your post.
  8. I'm surprised he isn't at the track now refusing to ride. After the shanangins atSheffield from Somerset and in particular their No1 recently I'm hoping our track team have laid on extra dirt for our visitors, they love a bit of dirt.
  9. At time of writing its not, and hasn't for a while now.
  10. One thing that is guaranteed on a Berwick thread is pessimism, and let us be thankful for that.
  11. Looking more promising at the minute, rain has just about stopped and clouds a lot brighter, still a lot of rain fell though.
  12. No problem with that though IMO as Team GB have no hope of winning and virtually no hope of getting a medal itcwas the chance to bring in one of the younger riders.
  13. Heavy rain at the minute and has been for a while and showing no sign of stopping anytime soon. Only IMO but after the dry off a few weeks ago against Scunthorpe tonight's meeting must be in doubt as this time it is actually raining.
  14. Every weather forecaster has its positives and negatives, probably none better than looking out the window and forecasting yourself.
  15. Current forecast for tomorrow https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  16. I think so yes, and with Berwick Rangers away from home tomorrow I guess there`s a chance to use them.
  17. Very sensible though you would've thought this kind of thing could've been announced last Saturday.
  18. Off the back of his good score at Somerset last night Jye Etheridge has picked up a guest booking at Redcar tomorrow night riding for the injury hit Birmingham Brummies.
  19. Creditable performance from Berwick, and were well in for a point or two until falling away in the later heats.
  20. Two reasonably even teams IMO, hopefully should give us a decent meeting. With a bit of luck Aaron Summers will be back in the team. Forecast as it stands at the minute. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  21. NB Jacobsen dropped by Poole, replaced by Ricky Wells.
  22. I thought it was the other way, where now it is narrower now than before due to when they introduced dog racing at Shielfield.
