And what Council is going to do that. -
Going to be a cracking battle at reserve tonight, according to the Berwick site they are giving this weekends team line ups that sees NB Jacobsen and Jye Etheridge at reserve for Berwick while Newcastle have Mathew Wethers and Lasse Bjerre. Is is asking to much to put the teams in their one to seven. Weekend team line-ups Berwick: Aaron Summers, Kevin Doolan (captain), Leon Flint, Dany Gappmaier, Coty Garcia, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen, Jye Etheridge Newcastle: Steve Worrall (captain), Danny Phillips, Thomas Jorgensen, Simon Lambert, Max Clegg, Lasse Bjerre, Matthew Wethers News

Now that this thread has stumbled onto BSF, as long as there are no call offs the teams look to be lining up as follows. Berwick 1 Aaron Summers 2 Kevin Doolan 3 Danny Gappmaier 4 Jye Etheridge 5 NB Jacobsen 6 Coty Garcia 7 Leon Flint Newcastle 1 Steve Worrall 2 Simon Lambert 3 Lasse Bjerre 4 Mathew Wethers 5 Thomas Jorgensen 6 Danny Phillips 7 Max Clegg Our local loon seems to think the track covers will be required, maybe under his rock, but the forecast looks reasonable right through to Saturday night. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819

Peterborough v Belle Vue PSC - Mon 1st April

Can they do that though, he was declared but never actually signed. Anyway if Cook has ended up of the wrong side of Buster Chapman then there is only one winner there. -

Good luck to Aaron Summers on his Panthers debut. -
Not quite sure what the point is meant to be here, actually Aaron looked very impressive last night and will do his very best for Peterborough, remember he`s only there short term so those who aren`t happy with him in the team wont have to be un-happy for long.

Havent seen a thread started for today's meeting at Newcastle, Redcar team news is Leon Flint comes in as a guest for Jack Smith.
-
Mr Ward blocked me some time ago on Twitter, and judging by his latest rant its something i`m quite pleased with.
-
Good to see Aaron summers getting fixed up with a Premiership team, even for a short term having signed for Peterborough.

Your probably right but as others have said it is what it is, and the chances of the track shape changing anytime soon are next to zero. Track shape is important but we`ve seen good and great meetings from time to time at Berwick with the current shape so its not as if it can`t be done, but the will and the effort have to be there in the first place to do so.

I think I`m right in saying Shielfield Park is on a long term rolling lease from the Council to the Berwick rangers trust so if the football moves out the lease would move to and/or become void. Giving Shielfield`s location I would most of it would be turned into houses as you say.

How much do riders get in SGP when they all have the same fork covers and race jacket, with sponsors other than their own on. Last season Craig Cook being one.

Giving that has been advertising on social media for a UK mechanic I`m guessing yes.

Happy Wednesday everybody.

Good article and hard to argue with on so many points. For me perfectly summed up by the following. Corcoran describes the camaraderie in the sport as the glue that holds it together but is damning on the reasons for speedway’s decline. “The bikes’ technology has changed but the presentation has not,” he says. “There has been a distinct lack of innovation and investment and it has been a race to the bottom rather than the top. The sport screams out for a Bernie Ecclestone or Barry Hearn character to grab it and run with it. “There is nobody centrally driving the sport. If you were a potential sponsor from a big brand you wouldn’t have been approached by anybody. Same goes for TV. They have had centrally negotiated TV contracts but they have been pitiful because the guys you are dealing with are, with respect, scrap metal merchants and used-car salesmen.”

For the work Dennis has done over the years, much of it un-noticed, Berwick Rangers and Berwick Speedway owe him a huge debt of gratitude. As you say a gentleman.

Berwick P&P March 28th with the first meeting 48hrs later.

As he was signed on loan from Rye House when he joined us half way through the 2017 season I`d say yes, I haven't seen anything where he became an asset of another club.

Dont panic our season starts in a couple of weeks, then the real moaning and groaning starts.

Berwick will have one definite starter in the British Under-21 Final as Leon Flint has been seeded directly to the Final on April 27th. The other seeded riders are Robert Lambert, Dan Bewley, Nathan Greaves, Jack Smith, Kyle Bickley, Drew Kemp, Jack Thomas, Tom Brennan, Zach Wajtknecht.

After the demise of Workington its understandable why other teams would be tempted to change their team before the start of the season, but you do have to feel for Victor Palavaara, and any other rider to be dropped.
