  1. Not sure Berwick council do any thinking on any subject full stop. Speedway being at Sheifield must be of benefit to Berwick Rangers, though the mess they are in at the minute, off field as well as on, I`m not sure anyone would care.
  2. Completely agree, I think people are quick to criticise Buster but as chairman just how much power to change does he actually have. Maybe controlling three clubs will help in that direction but at the end of the day he is one of a number of promoters who all seem to want different things.
  3. After taking four and a half points out of the limit I would get used to it, riders averaging around six points are going to become very valuable. Thankfully my team have built teams full of riders like that for years, ironic that with the points limit as it is now they may not take to the track.
  4. Home and away twice going by the press release from the other day. http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/news.php?extend.35805
  5. What you have mentioned plus the name I would guess. As for club worth, as with most things it is probably worth what someone is willing to pay, that would not necessarily be what is being asked.
  6. Unless there has been a change of mood from the Courtney brothers, or a new buyer has been found I would guess there is still a question over Berwick and maybe one or two more.
  7. True, but after buying Ipswich can you really see Buster shelling out for Peterborough to.
  8. As ever, the devil will be in the detain, I mean look at last years, it didn't take long for things to start unravelling.
  9. So you will be one happy Panthers fan this evening.
  10. This is the statement released by the BSPA after their AGM, hopefully a positive sign that Berwick named in the Championship. http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/news.php?extend.35805
  11. Berwick named at Championship level, hopefully a good sign.
  12. Hearing that one huge decision has been taking today, after much debate the BSPA decided to ditch the Custard Creams they have had for years with their morning coffee in favour of Chocolate Hob-Nobs. Revolution is in the air.
  13. Apart from one possibly two riders I`d be amazed if any top Championship rider were on that kind of money.
  14. Cut it was worth it though surely. I dont expect the up coming AGM to cure all of speedway`s ills but what I hope for is at least a start or more probably at least to stop the slide that we see currently.
  15. Aaron Summers rode a few times for Wanda Krakow last season, all on Sunday`s which would seem to rule out a return to Newcastle for Aarnio.
  16. As things stand right now NL racing at Berwick is just about a non starter, maybe if the likes of Newcastle, Edinburgh for example came down to it would be a possibility but right now our most local track would be Buxton or Belle Vue so Berwick would be even more reliant on their own fan base than ever.
  17. There`s a number of clubs up for sale at the minute, Poole, Peterborough etc, where there is an air of confidence and positivity about the future. I dont get that with this news, looks like an uncertain winter ahead.
  18. Finally managed to catch up with Blair`s appearance and my thoughts are this, firstly I hope Blair gets and completes the treatment he was off to start at the end of the show which helps to heal at least some of the rifts that clearly remain within his family and sees him remain clean. Unfortunately I have zero sympathy for him, he has put himself in the situation he is in, and dragged his family down with him, he has lied to and stolen from his close family and split his family asunder right up to the point where his mother has lied to her husband. Whether he can be reconciled with all of his family remains to be seen but hopefully his appearance on tv the other day is his turning point in his life.
  19. I`d say any Lakeside fan who made the considerable effort to get to Workington last night had every right to give their feelings to two of their team who, it seems, couldn't be bothered to go out and get their medal.
  20. Huge congratulations to Workington Speedway on becoming league Champions, of course its a team effort but you have to feel so happy for Laura Morgan who has had tough times with Workington, now they are top of the heap.
  21. Yes and what a cock up he has made of that
  22. All booked for Prague yet again, flying out of Edinburgh staying at Pyramida. A couple of weeks ago I got a PM from someone asking about booking into the Pyramida, I am sorry but I have deleted your PM by mistake but you should now be able to book there if you still wish to.
