  1. After the home side`s pasting off Leszno last week they can ill afford another one from Wroclaw, sadly they look like they are on the way to one.
  2. Josh Pickering was released from hospital earlier this morning with a shoulder injury, he will miss Friday`s meeting at Armadale.
  3. Your help is needed Newcastle fans http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100984&fbclid=IwAR3nRqXdxAe1I84ncCxcTFzozliDjBrMbQpXHIAYapKAOWO4Mq-OQ1PUFAM
  4. Leicester look the real deal this season and the team to beat
  5. Good luck for Wednesday and no more "electrical" problems.
  6. Its been a tough time of late for the Brennan family of late so the last thing they needed was this. Hugely impressed with Tom in the recent Under-21 meeting at Berwick, hopefully he will make a full and quick recovery and is back on a back asap.
  7. Berwick got off to a great start a may just have been looking at an away win but very welcome points on the road. Delighted to see Danny Gappmaier in the big points, one or two suggested earlier in the season that he should be dropped so its great for him to give the perfect answer, hopefully we will see points from him now on a regular bases.
  8. More points on the road, well done. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/18839/berwick-00pm-championship-10-19
  9. Of course it was tongue in cheek though its clear there is a significant amount of people who are doing other things other than coming to the speedway each Saturday.
  10. Zaine Kennedy with drawn with concussion so will definitely miss the match tomorrow, Ty Proctor did take a ride after his accident but then withdrew with a wrist injury. only my guess but after having two accidents tonight I`d be surprised if we see Jye Etheridge at Sheffield tomorrow.
  11. Probably the least enjoyable meeting of the season so far, mainly due to the stop start nature to the meeting but fair play to Sheffield who thoroughly deserved their point especially when you consider they were down to five riders for part of the meeting. Dont know about others but I thought the crowd was very poor tonight, take away the kids who were getting in free and there weren't many there at all, coolish night, SGP, Eurovision song contest, no consistent fixtures etc may have kept some away but crowds will need to increase.
  12. It will all depend on when the Brovst meeting will be re-arranged for, I haven't seen anything to say it is being held over until tonight so lets hope that Jacobsen makes it to Berwick.
  13. Sheffield look to strong on their own track for Berwick so a home win for me with just the possibility of Berwick nicking a point.
  14. To be honest no as the first lap going from a standing start will be worthless. Maybe the riders could have one sighting lap then their minute could start but I thought last nights first attempt at qualification was a success, possibly they could look at sending out riders in batches of four then do a track grade rather than sending out half the field then track grade then the other half as there seemed to be an advantage to those going out early, Doyle and Zagar for example.
  15. Currently misty, dull and wet, forecast for later is a bit of a mixed bag. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  16. Could be bad news for Berwick but the Danish semi final which was due to be held in Brovst tonight has been cancelled, I haven't seen any re-arrangement announcement but if its held over until tomorrow that will full out NB Jacobsen for Berwick.
  17. First one but I think the SGP qualifying could be a success, came over great on television, not sure about in the stadium but overall a success IMO.
  18. Is it me or is the clock stopping after the rider crosses the start line.
  19. Berwick 1 Aaron Summers 2 Kevin Doolan 3 Jye Etheridge 4 Danny Gappmaier 5 NB Jacobsen 6 Coty Garcia 7 Leon Flint Sheffield 1 Danny King 2 Kasper Anderson 3 Ty Proctor 4 Drew Kemp 5 Kyle Howarth 6 Broc Nicol 7 Zaine Kennedy Tomorrow nights likely teams.
  20. Meeting rearranged for Tuesday May 28th with a 7-30pm start.
  21. Those of us who bought season tickets will be pretty cheesed off if the club pull the plug, though this rumour can be put to bed quite easily by a quick press release. As others have said not the greatest forecast for part of Saturday, lets hope we get some racing especially I can only see a home win and a great way to start our Championship season.
