  1. If there is any chance of dragging the sport of speedway into anything like modern times, teams racing in identical race suits must be part of that. After all the vast majority of the sport is a team event so should reflect that, when riders go to race in individual events and want to look like an individual then fair enough but IMO a team event you should look like a team.
  2. Sounds like Jordan Stewarts much awaited debut for Redcar will have to wait for a few days yet as he is still awaiting clearance from the SCB.
  3. Best of luck to Leon Flint who is making his debut tonight, huge talent that has every chance of making it big.
  4. Nicely edited, though for fairness and for the odd forum rule it would be an idea to quote the whole post. Anyway the part you quoted I still believe, though it is sad the with only a few days to go before season start we have the club and the supporters club at odds, there must be some coming ground somewhere when an agreement or working relationship can be agreed.
  5. To be honest I`m not to fussed about this rule being reversed, though its a bit embarrassing for it to happen so soon. If the promoters are really looking at speedway up meetings then the time gap between heats needs to be quicker as IMo there is no reason as the last rider leaves the track from one heat the two minute warning could be started for the next.
  6. For 2018 there should be no more than four minutes, including the two minute warning, not unless that rule gets bin soon as well.
  7. Surely at the start of the season is when everyone should be positive, looking forward to the new season, new riders and a good season all round. Sad then the history seems to be repeating itself , lessons possibly not learned.
  8. You don`t think you are replying to he of the multi usernames.
  9. While it is true Thorssell was poor today you could say the same about a number of riders in today's meeting in Torun, was he testing new equipment, was it a confidence thing, if its the latter the more time on the bike racing the better IMO and he should find it easier to win races in our Premiership.
  10. Or being unprofessional as most would see it.
  11. Decent enough meeting with Leon Madsen very impressive.
  12. Yes I agree, though the Berwick Supporters Club, or what ever they are going to be called, have been the one constant success, something that should be remembered.
  13. Been to the Berwick Rangers game today I must pay credit to the track staff who obviously have been working hard on the track, it look very smooth and just about ready to race. On a separate issue I hope all those who can, and have an interest, make to the supporters club up and coming EGM which has been called to sort out the issues.
  14. On the announcement the other day it seems the Newcastle promotion were damned which ever way they went, say nothing and let the criticism continue, or put out a statement giving an update and face criticism should anything not happen, which seems to have been the case. One thing is clear the Newcastle promotion will need to get these two signings right, which could be one reason for the delay, because it looks like some Championship teams averages wont change until early July and with no signings after August 12th its gives a very small window of opportunity to strengthen.
  15. He could've giving his instructions on track prep over the phone surely, anyway I thought he used to come up early each Saturday, spending most of the day down in Spittal with Scott. Giving the amount of snow we had a couple of weeks ago, and then the heavy rain over the last couple of days I think the track will need plenty drying days and plenty work over the next couple of weeks to get it ship shape for the visit of those Diamonds.
  16. I think its safe to say that there was more than Kelvin Tatum that was owed money by former club owner Lindon.
  17. Adding an asset is a very welcome idea, especially to a club like Berwick as our asset base is nothing to write home about just now. I agree with you on Havelock, thanks for your efforts but I think we could do better without him.
  18. Maybe our friend from Cornhill could be the one to reintroduce the much missed weekly news letter.
  19. Delighted to see new sponsors on boards foe 2018, well done to all. http://berwickbandits.co/news/berwick-bandits-welcome-kls-board-2018-team-sponsors
  20. Some how I don't see any comeback being at Newcastle.
  21. Disappointed the Fours have been taken away from the EoES, usually its a great day with great facilities. If the Fours is now going to be a truly shared event then why not Redcar, maybe next season a southern track will hold it, Lakeside for example.
  22. But it would have affected every team in the league when they were racing against a team with Nicholls and Kennett in it. Morris is quite entitled to double up as he rode in the Championship last season so qualified for a true average. I applaud the BSPA for sticking to their rules, yes there will be winners and losers but you can`t change to rules governing team building halfway especially after many teams are complete having been assembled under the rules.
