  1. Doyle will be crowned Champion soon rather than later in the meeting, but lets hope we get a decent meeting to end this years SGP.
  2. As a rider who is retired Mr Watt should be nowhere near this GP, other than in the stand with the rest of the paying public.
  3. Quite a step forward even just to be nominated, wouldnt it be great if he won. https://www.leonflintracing.com/single-post/2017/10/25/Flint-Nominated-For-Major-Award
  4. Obviously I`m not there but the crowd on updates is described as "not great", which is a worry for the future of Newcastle speedway.
  5. I think it will be Lawson who leaves, with Worrall staying, possibly joined by his brother Steve. Time will tell.
  6. I can see Steve joining brother Ritchie at Glasgow for next season. I would put Jye Etheridge down as unlikely, after buying him from Edinburgh I think he is very much part of plans for Berwick next year.
  7. Your keen on signing Berge, good luck with that.
  8. Chris Harris guests for Max Fricke while its R/R for Cook. Wolves have 3 guests, Scott Nicholls, Richard Lawson and Ritchie Worrall. http://www.bellevueaces.co/newsitem.aspx?id=2271
  9. The state poor Olivia must be in by now a little bit of air is the last thing she needs.
  10. Are we any closer knowing to where the SWC will be held, few rumours not long ago that it will return to the NSS.
  11. As has already been mentioned Lambert rode in Poland today so all being well he should be a Brough Park tomorrow night.
  12. Maybe this has already been posted. https://www.facebook.com/groups/292450617566521/permalink/1190158997795674/
  13. The post on the clubs official Facebook page says £15 gets you live music, presentation, interviews, drinks and a party time, there is no mention of food. Must admit, while there is nothing wrong with the Marshall Meadows or its facilities, it does seem a bit strange to take this kind of event out of Berwick, maybe the Black and Gold was already booked for the 21st but there must be somewhere else within Berwick who could've hosted the end of season night. Berwick Bandits Speedway added 2 new photos. 17 September at 21:05 · END OF SEASON PARTY TICKETS. End of season party tickets will be on sale from Castlegate Interiors @ 85 Castlegate, Berwick upon Tweed from 10am tomorrow morning! As advertised, the party takes place at Marshall Meadows Country house hotel on Saturday 21st of October at 7pm. Stay tuned this week for our online poll for Bandit of the season! Tickets £15 Live Music Presentations Interviews Drinks Party time! #backthebandits
  14. Must admit at no point last night did I think I was watching a fixed meeting, just a bit of a farce due to the mistaken thinking that promotion/relegation would work.
  15. Not a lot of point of just jumping on the back of the current Chairman, I believe his views are shared by quite a few of his fellow promoters, hence the problems we have in speedway which has been on a steady decline for a few years now with little or no much needed significant change in that time.
  16. Looks like we have coverage on the local radio station, hopefully this link works. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/motorsport/41546175
  17. Not good news on Charles Wright, not nice seeing he could be out for months. http://redcarbears.co/2017/10/10/charles-wright-update/
  18. Promotion/Relegation was always doomed to fail, last night just confirmed it.
  19. Agree with Topsoil regarding doubling up riders, if as is rumoured and the Premiership do go onto Monday Thursday fixed night racing then that should help matters. I don`t think there`s anywhere near enough riders to go to one big league and anyway the gap between the best riders and the riders down at reserve would be way to big.
  20. Robert Lambert is a talent, but Newcastle deserve better than they have got from their No1 at times this season.
  21. Fair point regarding Lakeside, but if relegation/promotion is to work, and be taken seriously, you can`t have a team simply being air lifted from the bottom tier of speedway into the top league.
  22. While I`ve no doubt that the good people of BT Sport will hype this meeting up to an inch of its life most of us know that as far as relegation.promotion is concerned its a bit of a non starter.
