How can they change the rules now, the season hasn't even started and the great and the good are tinkering already. Anyway there isn't any indication that rules will be changed.
-
For the life of me I cant work out this Mitchel Davey signing, in his racing career over here he has been at best a Championship reserve so taking the jump to the Premiership is a jump to far IMO. In fact I see him only as a short term signing before the axe falls.
-
Bottom half instead of just plain old bottom would be fine by me.
-
It is at least a positive that the club is looking at new riders, and IMO Lindman will be giving the time to get to grips with riding over here, the rest of the team however have been racing here long enough to get things going and in some cases will need to improve their averages if Berwick are to avoid another season of significant under achievement.

New asset John Lindman and Danny Gappmaier complete the Berwick team.
-
Show them the Glasgow team, they seem to have the best team so far.

Josh Bates‏ @Josh96bates 39m39 minutes ago This has been one of the hardest times in my life I have had a long hard think and I just think it's time hung the goggles just would like to thank everyone who his supported me and help me going to miss the sport so much but I think this is the right decision
-
Welcome signing but the team IMO still lacks the out and out No1 and with the points left we are very unlikely to get one.
-
Looks like the promotion are going down the route of signing a number of last years riders, which is all well and good. But last years team had an out and out No1 in Nick Morris and in one of Gappmaier and Etheridge a heavy scoring reserve, it is to be hoped we will see a similar thing will happen for 2018 though with the out and out No1 it is difficult to see where that rider would come from.
-
No disrespect to him but IMO Mathew Wethers isn't going to be the answer.

Poole Thread Blocked Due To Trolls
screm replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If everyone just within forum rules then no thread would need to be blocked ever, sad that a few just can`t bring themselves to do that simple thing. -
Based in Berwick, workshop here, and at the end of last season all seemed to indicate a return to Berwick for 2018. I haven't heard of anything that would change that.
-
And Jye has said one or two unsavoury about Edinburgh, funny how an offer of a team place and a few quid in the back pocket can change things. I would still be amazed if Jye Etheridge ended up at Edinburgh for next season.

SWC week was great, lots of speedway with the race off and final at the same track usually producing excellent racing. I think what the FIM have done will be a very poor second, Pairs speedway IMO just doesn't work.

Seems that most team are going for an out and out No1 or two heavy hitters up top, especially with the new tac sub rule, so seeing last years No1 Nick Morris going to Lakeside must be a blow to Berwick as you would think we would be keen to see him back at Berwick. Good signing in Aaron Summers, a few on here put his name forward a few seasons ago when he left Edinburgh. He has made himself into a good Championship rider and should do a good job. Hopefully he will have riders to back him up and even take over from his No1 spot, time will tell.

No team announcement tonight.
-
Harris has a Championship average where Nicholls hasn't, maybe that has something to do with it.
-
Danny King Nico Covatti Cameron Heeps Micheal Haertel Rory Schlein Danny Hulme

Would this be same Jason Doyle that rode a good chunk of last season for all of his clubs with a broken foot. Any criticism of Doyle for that reason is harsh to say the least.
-
Good luck to Leon Flint on his move into National League racing with Birmingham.
-
No Greg Hancock.
-
Broc Nicol possibly.
-
Delighted to see the Comets confirming that they will race next season as it would have been very easy and understandable if the Workington promotion had decided to walk away. It is to be hoped the stay away fans of Workington speedway return in numbers to support their team.

You do come out with some tripe at times.

Tomasz Gollob Out Of Hospital
screm replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
One of my biggest regrets is never seeing Tomasz Gollob ride, so I am delighted to see him now out of hospital and continuing his rehabilitation that one day will see him walk again.
