  1. Hope he can improve away is something that has been said about Kennett for quite some time now. At his stage of his career if it hasn't happened by now it probably isn't going to happen any time soon.
  2. Seems that only the covers were used on the bends last night, which seems like half a job to me. Either you cover the track properly or you don`t cover it at all.
  3. Hope tonight's meeting is a good one. Hope Craig Cook has a good night, after the SWC Final he needs to prove he can compete at this level. Hope Tai gets the reception he deserves.
  4. Its only the first line that is Lambert's initial tweet, looks like my copy and paste picked up one or two replies which I didn't think or want to do.
  5. Direct message ruthless lambert‏ @ruthlesslambert 10m10 minutes ago More So hear at Somerset and it's called off 8 hours £60 fuel later for this and the track is good and stoped raining. Seems we have one un-happy bunny, maybe Mr Lambert would like this evening understanding the difference between here and hear.
  6. I`m sure they have their reasons but if you are going to use track covers would it not be wise to cover the whole track, seems a bit daft to only cover the corners with such a forecast.
  7. If either team were losing going into Ht15 you can bet they would want to continue, or at least you`d like to think they would. Any long lasting damage the events of Saturday night caused probably wont be felt until we get to the visit of Sheffield. No meeting this Saturday, attractive opposition should mean a reasonably decent crowd but there were plenty who said they wouldn't be coming back, the club must be hoping they were just angry last Saturday and will return.
  8. I will be attending this meeting, after being at Peterborough the day before, please can all concerned make sure everything is in tip top condition.
  9. Great to watch on a bike, and a huge talent, sadly the chaos and goings on off track will mean it will be a talent un-fulfilled IMO.
  10. Don`t know why you are jumping on jcchapman`s posts as ignorance, if you actually read them he has hit the nail on the head. GB speedway in its current format cannot last much longer. It must be hoped the younger generation of riders remain interested enough to help the sport get back to some kind of reasonable level.
  11. I`m sure picking up wages for a paid sixteen will cushion any blow from this defeat.
  12. Doolan by his own standards has been poor of late, hopefully he gets back to normal very soon. Agree with you on false starts, in fact I would argue the pit gate should never be opened, maybe we could use the rule as it is in SGP where a warning stays with a rider throughout the meeting.
  13. Fair to say a draw was never really on the cards with yet another drubbing away from home for Berwick, but on a positive note everyone made to the end of Ht15.
  14. I was delighted when Buster became chairman as I thought he would be the one to bring real change for good, he said in an interview in Speedway Star that he would throw away the rule book and start a new, sadly we are still waiting in fact of anything the rules are more confusing now than they were when Buster took over. I still believe he`s the right man, but how you bring significant change when you need the backing from the rest of the promoters is posing to be a problem.
  15. I believe that may have added to the problem, we had a trainee referee who was being supervised by Mick Bates, IMO he could've been firmer with the riders and raced Ht15.
  16. Maybe, maybe not, but it would've been nice to have at least tried.
  17. Or the away team as they are otherwise known. Joke Joke Joke for all the touchy types out there.
  18. I`m afraid I still haven't changed my opinion from last night but I except what David Howe was saying, as ever he did speak well when trying to put the case for the abandonment. Biggest problem I have is that we watched three or four heats in the rain shower of which the last of those finished around 8-50pm, even with our curfew that gave the track team thirty minutes minimum to get the track something like raceable, sadly there was zero effort in that direction and a total disregard for the paying customers in the stands . The weather had gone in fact as I left the car park the sun had come out again so the track wouldn't have got worse only better and even if after the track work the meeting was abandoned at least there had been a bit of effort put in. The dirt was pilled indeed up against the fence but surely we have the equipment to move the dirt back down.
  19. So it seems you are suggesting that the good lady has taken a doubling up position.
