  1. As with most weeks you will find out the starting teams when you pick up your programme. Guest for Payne ?.
  2. Don't think there's much fear of Holder walking away with nothing, at the end of the day Holder deserves his ban. I wonder if he will be the only Holder to be banned.
  3. That's a different argument, and some will agree with you, however there will never be just one league over here. Two would be better IMO.
  4. No it doesn't, trying to accommodate the big name riders has probably contributed to the mess we have now. Regular night racing with regularly seven man teams is much more important than seeing the big name riders IMO.
  5. Aussies stop whining, you obviously haven't been over on Twitter this afternoon.
  6. Does the punishment fit the crime, seems to me that Holder is carrying the can for other riders who were probably just as keen not to ride.
  7. Giving some of his performances with Torun this season that kind of money wont be there next season.
  8. Will Holder jnr be there or will the Peterborough promotion have a few extra quid in the bank but no Holder at Berwick, he is already missing at Newcastle the night after.
  9. Not Hancock`s biggest fan but IMO if he makes it known he will continue at SGP level then he will get a wild card pick.
  10. http://peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.3160.2 Confirmed here that Holder will miss the meetings at Newcastle and Scunthorpe, for which IMO Peterborough should receive no facility.
  11. By Morris I take it you mean nick Morris, what has he done to be dragged into this, Jason Doyle for that matter. Agree with you about Holder, you could argue about the timing but Kings Lynn were quite justified in dropping him, and Batchelor come to that. Don`t know what happened with Schlein to get his latest Twitter whinge but if he doesn't want to ride in a show piece meeting for his Championship club then maybe he should just keep that between him and them.
  12. I've heard that thirty piece's of silver is the going rate.
  13. I thought Buster would be the right man to get speedway at least on a sure footing and start to build towards the future, I was wrong, in fact of anything its more of a shambles now than before so I don`t see Buster lasting after this years AGM. Thing is suitable people to take over and make the much needed changes aren`t exactly thick on the ground.
  14. Maybe this meeting along with other BSPA events should be put in riders contracts at the start of the season, although some contracts to riders these days aren`t worth the paper they are written on.
  15. Peterborough would get a guest facility should Holder miss Sunday`s meeting and get a ban, which he wont. First because Peterborough will back down and let their rider do as he wishes, and second because our governing don`t have the balls to get tough with certain riders who choose to miss one of their meetings.
  16. Berwick v Belle Vue in what was the last meeting of the season during Berwick`s one and only season in the then British League. Belle Vue refused to turn up to the meeting as they were having their end of season bash the night before. Berwick completed the meeting on their own.
  17. Thankfully as you say it seems that the injury picked up by Jye Etheridge last night won`t stop him taking part in Sunday`s meeting, though God knows what Berwick would've done had he had to miss meetings.
  18. To the letter of the law, oh how I wish the BSPA would stick to the rules, the BSPA are quite correct in blocking Berwick`s move to replace a Busk Jacobsen. I would imagine this rule was brought in to stop teams changing riders virtually on a weekly bases to either try to get in the play offs or to win them out right, however thats hardly the position Berwick finds themselves in. I agree with an end date to signing new riders as straight replacements but there must be a rule for the position Berwick are in now where they have lost a rider to a genuine injury and are being blocked from signing a replacement. It could be argued that the clubs who face a Berwick team with six riders either home or away are at an advantage against the teams who faced Berwick with seven.
  19. I would imagine Belle Vue are now in the same position as Berwick who have been blocked in their attempt to sign a replacement for an injured rider. They now must go with R/R for the rest of the season.
  20. Looks like Berwick`s attempt to sign an injury replacement for Nicolaj Busk Jacobsen has been blocked by the BSPA and the Bandits have been forced to go with R/R for the rest of the season.
  21. http://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/justin-sedgmen-says-he-wants-to-win-league-with-ipswich-witches-but-understandably-has-plenty-to-say-in-forthright-interview-1-5129517
  22. My feelings entirely, well said.
  23. Newcastle`s Steve Worrall guests at No1 for Nick Morris who will be riding at Swindon.
  24. Oh my goodness people stay off Twitter, moaning speedway riders, dont you just love them.
