  1. As a club asset a Bellego return to Berwick would be ideal, I wonder if Berwick would be tempted to bring in a fellow French rider.
  2. As a supporters of a club also rumoured to be interested in Garrity I hope he ends up at Redcar.
  3. There is two averages next to Busch`s name on the BSPA list, 4-66 and 5-00, i would hope those who haven't attained their assessed average yet will remain on that figure until they do.
  4. I agree with you, I don`t think the BSPA have been very clear regarding this as it appears going by the averages on their own site against the quote you have posted it is two different things. It appears there is a number of riders who rode in last years Pl, didn't achieve a 3pt average yet have been saddled with a 3pt starting average for 2017.
  5. According to the BSPA site Phillips comes in on a 3pt average.
  6. Payne comes in on a 3pt average according to the BSPA site.
  7. Agree with you, IMO this is where the rule makers didn't go far enough last season regarding the draft system as the likes of Liam Carr should've had his starting average last season protected so that even if riders like Carr weren't going to be part of the 2017 draft they would still make attractive signings and it would mean a high possibility of seeing more British riders getting team places which after all is what the draft system is supposed to do. Carr at home might be able to hold his average but away from Shielfield is likely to struggle.
  8. Bach has already posted on social media that he`s unlikely to be racing over here next season, to start with anyway.
  9. Slightly spurious argument though as there is far more other attractions now that back in the day.
  10. Probably not a great idea to run with a team with four reserves.
  11. You think, all Championship clubs must include one British rider on a 3pt average, or a rider who hasn't achieved a PL 3pt average, in this case they will come in on a 2pt average.
  12. Must admit I don`t see Harris being at Berwick, he is bound to be racing in the Premiership which will mean racing at Rye House and Leicester on Saturday nights, he is also going to miss one meeting should Berwick have a home meeting on July 1st for the SWC round at Kings Lynn, after that he has already said he intends to do the SGP qualifiers, most will be at weekends, again meaning its almost certain he will miss Berwick meetings where practice or signing in is compulsory, 2017 is already on the way to being a guest fest without knowingly signing a rider who is bound to miss a decent percentage of meetings.
  13. Unlikely, the rumour is he is on his way to Rye House so that would rule out racing for another Saturday night track.
  14. All Polish leagues race on a Sunday. Re-arranged fixtures do normally take place on another day, normally Fridays or Saturdays.
  15. Looks like you can rule out Bach Rene' Bach #12 ‏@BachRene 2h2 hours ago Looks like a season without a team in UK.
  16. With the SGP at Cardiif and the first round of the SWC both in July, it could be Berwick will be in for a sparse month potentially losing two Saturday nights.
  17. If the changes are part of taking one step back to take two steps forward then surely its worthwhile doing, must admit I wouldve liked to see some of the changes go further to try and encourage more British riders into regular racing in the different leagues. Strong rumours suggest that now Garrity isn't wanted at Sheffield that Berwick is a likely destination, Garrity has a certain reputation that I hope means Berwick would leave well alone.
  18. Sheffield Speedway ‏@TigersSpeedway 10m10 minutes ago UPDATE | Deal done. New signing to be announced in the morning - we'll tweet first thing when you're enjoying your Corn Flakes*
  19. The taking in of the football pitch argument has been done to death IMO, it just isn't going to happen, yes you probably could lose a yard or two around the corners but that would be turning the corners virtually square and wont improve the racing. Anyway I think the poorer racing we have now on a consistent bases is more down to the bikes than the track.
  20. IMO that`s the key to a successful strength in depth team, a couple of seasons ago we had that in Kus who put in some impressive scores from reserve.
  21. Falubaz announce signing of Jacob Thorssell. https://twitter.com/?lang=en-gb
