  1. Flights and hotel booked for Prague GP, looking at Cardiff now and the Kings Lynn round of the SWC.
  2. There`s sure to be some fun and games in the Redcar pit next season.
  3. Delighted with the Bridger signing, he is capable of being the out and out No1 some have called for, if he still has the same tie up with JRM then his equipment will be top notch, he is a true professional in his approach to speedway and IMO will be among the top guys in the Championship. Doolan is reliable and will do a job as second or third heat leader though it would be good to see a rider between him and Bridger. Less sure about Carr, had a great season last year and scored good points especially towards the end of the season and if he starts 2017 in the same reserve position then he can be again a big scorer for Berwick , hopefully he will continue his progress next season but if he starts in the main team he may need to drop to reserve to get back to the scores from last season.
  4. Very impressed to attract a rider like Lewis Bridger, he should be capable of being a decent No1 at this level.
  5. David Bellego signs for KSM Krosno Adam Ellis signs for Ostrow Josh Grajczonek signs for Stal Rzeszow as does Dimitri Berge Not at all, there is many of us interested in speedway overseas.
  6. Ben Wilson becomes the IOW`s third signing. Island Speedway ‏@IslandSpeedway 4m4 minutes agoEnstone, England Warriors Welcome Ben Wilson to the 2017 camp.
  7. Not the wisest move IMO opinion to have Bates and Garrity in the same team, agree with you on Gappmaier, on his night he looked a real talent that should be able to hold his average, however on other night he was tailed off at the rear in some races..
  8. Don`t think he quite achieved that, though he may well have been on the way.
  9. Some of Carr`s scores towards the end of last season were excellent but it should be remembered he had six or seven races some nights, and some of those races were against opposition reserve riders. Racing in the No2 race jacket he can only have a maximum of five rides, most of which will be against opposition heat leaders.
  10. I was thinking of Muratet, don`t know much about him and his signing would be a gamble but there is the attraction of getting a new asset to the club.
  11. As a club asset a Bellego return to Berwick would be ideal, I wonder if Berwick would be tempted to bring in a fellow French rider.
  12. As a supporters of a club also rumoured to be interested in Garrity I hope he ends up at Redcar.
  13. There is two averages next to Busch`s name on the BSPA list, 4-66 and 5-00, i would hope those who haven't attained their assessed average yet will remain on that figure until they do.
  14. I agree with you, I don`t think the BSPA have been very clear regarding this as it appears going by the averages on their own site against the quote you have posted it is two different things. It appears there is a number of riders who rode in last years Pl, didn't achieve a 3pt average yet have been saddled with a 3pt starting average for 2017.
  15. According to the BSPA site Phillips comes in on a 3pt average.
  16. Payne comes in on a 3pt average according to the BSPA site.
  17. Agree with you, IMO this is where the rule makers didn't go far enough last season regarding the draft system as the likes of Liam Carr should've had his starting average last season protected so that even if riders like Carr weren't going to be part of the 2017 draft they would still make attractive signings and it would mean a high possibility of seeing more British riders getting team places which after all is what the draft system is supposed to do. Carr at home might be able to hold his average but away from Shielfield is likely to struggle.
  18. Bach has already posted on social media that he`s unlikely to be racing over here next season, to start with anyway.
  19. Slightly spurious argument though as there is far more other attractions now that back in the day.
  20. Probably not a great idea to run with a team with four reserves.
  21. You think, all Championship clubs must include one British rider on a 3pt average, or a rider who hasn't achieved a PL 3pt average, in this case they will come in on a 2pt average.
  22. Must admit I don`t see Harris being at Berwick, he is bound to be racing in the Premiership which will mean racing at Rye House and Leicester on Saturday nights, he is also going to miss one meeting should Berwick have a home meeting on July 1st for the SWC round at Kings Lynn, after that he has already said he intends to do the SGP qualifiers, most will be at weekends, again meaning its almost certain he will miss Berwick meetings where practice or signing in is compulsory, 2017 is already on the way to being a guest fest without knowingly signing a rider who is bound to miss a decent percentage of meetings.
  23. Unlikely, the rumour is he is on his way to Rye House so that would rule out racing for another Saturday night track.
