  1. First off well done to all who helped in putting the covers on the track and taking them off, with the rain we had late afternoon there`s no doubt the meeting would've been in trouble had this not been done. Sadly those efforts weren't rewarded in an entertaining meeting, obviously lots of breaks due to accidents is understandable but with both teams running R/R the meeting was boring in the most part with breaks for riders having two riders on the trot, thankfully those injured riders seem to have got away without any long lasting injury. Hopefully Berwick will get back to seven riders by the next time we take to the track, I know they have either talked to or are still in talks with many riders but haven't been able to get a rider in, as has already been mentioned R/R isn't the answer long term.
  2. At the track just had a shower but now its bright, the track is still covered and looks to have done it's job.
  3. Thanks for the correction, still think Dudek was the best rider on the night and thoroughly deserves to be the Champion.
  4. Sure Phillip Rising will be able to answer you, though on the teams I don`t know there is any time where you need to declare your team, meaning it would almost impossible for speedway Star to publish the teams.
  5. Knock it all you want, Berwick once again are leading the way to try to get meetings on and deserve huge credit for doing so, maybe if other clubs did something similar we`d be in a better position, might be an idea for you to question your promotion why they aren`t doing the same. Covers went down, we have had a couple of light showers but so far the heavier showers has missed Berwick, all being well we should have tapes up at 7pm. https://www.facebook.com/BerwickSpeedway/photos/a.146513605530987.1073741829.145038505678497/569477879901222/?type=1&theater
  6. Giving the unsettled forecast the track is being covered to help get the racing on, why cant every club be as forward thinking and progressive as Berwick.
  7. That`ll be the Poole team that won at Lakeside, what does that say about our top league.
  8. After his trial and tribulations in recent times its great to see Dudek back on the top step. Winning all his qualifying races, then his semi, then the Final itself means there`s no doubt the best rider won on the night.
  9. Or the Kings Lynn team at Belle Vue.
  10. Rumours of a digestion problem, where he couldn't stomach riding at Berwick, are just that, rumours.....probably.
  11. Poor Todd Kurtz has had to pull out of the meeting tomorrow due to a groin problems.
  12. Weather forecast for Saturday according to the BBC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
  13. Certainly a surprise result last night, Plymouth look a decent team on paper and should be able to put up more of a fight than Workington did the other night.
  14. Forecast for armadale for tomorrow. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2657067
  15. You're right it was the late Paul Fry, the policeman with the speed gun was stood on the exit of bend two and recorded the speedway of the riders going down the back straight.
  16. Wasn't the rider that reached the top speed via the speed gun the late Paul Fry.
  17. If Kings Lynn persist with Troy Batchelor they have no hope in making the play offs, and their hopes aren`t that great anyway.
  18. Berwick are having probably some of the same problems looking for a replacement for Seb Alden, they have spoken to many riders but so far not come to any signings.
  19. Whilst I take your point, all tracks big small slick grippy are there to be raced, and while its doesn't guarantee good racing Berwick`s track repeatedly keeps getting top marks from the referees in their reports, like I say that doesn't guarantee good racing but it must count for something. I, nor anyone else, would ever say our track is perfect but it is what it is and certain riders seem defeated before they start, which can only help our riders I guess.
  20. No worries, I am sure Kurtz will show just how good he is round Shielfield come Saturday. Maybe the younger Kurtz could be pointed in the direction of the link I put on here yesterday, it explains, from sky`s top two, why the Sky cameras keep coming back to Berwick, and long may they do so.
  21. Todd Kurtz ‏@TKR10 Jun 27 PL have tracks like Somerset, Peterborough and Sheffield. And sky go to Berwick. Brilliant
