  1. Not really, you could put a rider out on their own where he could record fast times time after time but no good in a race situation or in a SWC situation. As I`ve posted earlier Woffinden, Lambert, Cook plus one of King or Nicholls will make up our team IMO with the reserve place going to one of Ellis or Bates, Bates being my choice.
  2. Fair enough, I am sure Ellis wouldn't let anyone down, I`d go for Josh Bates. Much more important IMO opinion we get our top four right as no matter who the Under-21 reserve is he may never get a ride.
  3. Not to fussed about who`s fastest, just want to know who is the best rider and who will score points.
  4. Fantastic experience for him, results aren`t important as what he learns now could make him all the better rider later. Would they look to a new rider on an assessed average, or a rider with PL experience who hasn't raced over here for a year or two.
  5. Agree with you, I think the last place is right now between King and Nicholls and at a push Harris though he will need one helluva month to force his way into our team. After that our reserve position should go to Josh Bates.
  6. It is noticeable that reading this thread, the one on the British Final thread and the one on the SWC thread that very few have Chris Harris anywhere Team GB, one wonders if Rossiter will feel the same.
  7. A view from the Ipswich site on Saturday`s meeting. http://www.ipswichwitches.co/story/witches-face-bandits
  8. Agree that its a bit pricey just for one meeting, I have main stand tickets for the play off and Final which I thought is excellent value.
  9. Lambert is good enough to be in the four main riders, that could spell bad news for Scott Nicholls who may well miss out.
  10. Having released Mellgren I doubt Berwick would get the go ahead to re-sign him. If he is back racing, and fully fit he could be a decent signing for someone out there.
  11. On his Twitter account Anders is making it quite clear he is looking for a team place. Berwick signed Henning Bager as a short term replacement for Mellgren, then signed Romano Hummell as a full time replacement, now we have signed Daniel Gappmaier as a replacement for Hummell.
  12. Could you give us an idea of what kind of budget Berwick have.
  13. You could very well be right, maybe misses both weekend meetings due to his injury, but Ipswich signed him after he had signed for Buxton, as with other leagues I thought those fixtures that were arranged first would take precedence.
  14. Greenwood would miss the meeting at Berwick anyway as his NL team have a fixture at Stoke, should he be fit enough, but if you right about a head injury he could miss both meetings.
  15. Absolutely, the NL cant be there for the likes of Hall to pick up easy wins, maybe that`s become a problem for the NL where is seems there`s a win at all costs to some.
  16. Probably very few, but what King did last night shouldn't be ignored as he surely rode himself into Team GB. With the same thinking Chris Harris probably rode himself out.
  17. Maybe if you had them on consecutive night Poole Wednesday, Kings Lynn Thursday, Belle Vue Friday.
  18. With the new British Champion in their midst I am sure the witches will fancy a point or two this Saturday, but if Bellego goes as he did a couple of weeks ago then I see a home win. Delighted to see the club bringing a new asset, much better than bringing in a journeyman rider as some have done, if Gappmaier is anything like Romano Hummell then Berwick will be onto something. Good to see former riders now helping the club find possible signings.
  19. I see over on the BSPA site that Berwick wont have a team at this years PL Pairs at Somerset.
  20. Berwick gave Hall a chance last year by signing him in a reserve position, sadly for both parties it didn't work out. Sheffield then signed him for the start of this season, where he would be riding at reserve and against PL draft riders from the NL, sadly again for both parties it didn't work out and Hall was dropped so he has had chances. I think the BSPA are quite correct in blocking Hall`s move to the NL as I hope they will with Mitchel Davey who I see has now qualified for dual nationality.
  21. Post 1889 mentions an Austrian. Post 1900 mentions the name Daniel Gappmaier. Post 1901 repeats the name Daniel Gappmaier. Post 1909 then mentions a SGP qualifier. Putting those clues together its not difficult to come up with the name Daniel Gappmaier, maybe we are all putting two and two together and coming up with five, time will tell. If it gives an excuse for one or two to jump all over my posts and it leaves others who mention the same name alone then I am quite happy. Many names have been mentioned as possible replacement riders, its part of the forum, those who cant accept that, or don`t like that, or both, maybe need time away and take their multi usernames with them.
  22. If one of our new riders is to be Austrian, and a SGP qualifier, then that could only point to Daniel Gappmaier. If it is I like the way the club are thinking by bringing in a new rider, bit of a gamble but as with Romano Hummell a gamble worth taking IMO.
  23. Hall seems to be between a rock and a hard place just now, doesn't seem wanted by any PL team, and stopped from signing for a NL team.
