Woffinden is a course and distance winner so you won't go far wrong there, but there is thunder showers forecast for this afternoon which will render practice pointless and level this up.
Went to practice, all riders had track time apart from Nicki Pedersen and Antonio Lindback. I am hoping tomorrow's forecast is wrong as it's saying thunder showers for tomorrow afternoon, very warm in Prague this evening.
Danny King won his British title, deservedly, but on a track affected by rain, if those are the conditions come the end of July he could well get the nod, but surely as its his home track Scott Nichols should start as favourite.
As nothing has been announced at the track at the last couple of home meetings, and it doesn't seem anything was announced in this weeks news letter from the club I am guessing it will be normal admission prices.
Meetings at Kings Lynn very rarely miss and last night was no exception, well done to Coventry on their win, a win which gives Kings Lynn very little chance of making the play offs, especially if they persist with Troy Batchelor in their team.
The pitch measures 110 x 70 yards, it was reduced to this size when the speedway moved back in in the mid nineties after the greyhound racing collapsed.
When Shielfield is well prepared the racing is as good as anywhere else and you can bet the club will pull out all the stops for this one. The changes to bend three seem to give the riders three options now going in where there was really only one line in the past, hopefully that will improve the racing.
