Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
screm replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Bellego was in the Rawicz squad last season but didn't get a huge amount of meetings out in Poland, it would be difficult to seeing him giving up on Poland, but its obvious he`s not returning to parent club Berwick, and looking unlikely he will return to Sheffield so a season, and full time employment at Scunthorpe might be on the cards. -

Not sure when the State Finals take place but could or would Scunthorpe will till then, any decent alternatives to Poole might`ve been signed up other teams. -
So some of your posts come from your virtual World, now we learn some are just for a bit of sport. No it wasn't, only the signing of Kieran Douglas was.

Confirmed Elite League Signings 2016

Certainly nothing announced by the club during last season via their news letter. Sorry no baiting here, you made the claim you thought every club paid more than Berwick, I was simply asking you to back up the claim.

So Keith Chapman becomes chairman of the BSPA.
-
Surely Rob Grant must be up there, started at Berwick in the juniors, progressed to the full team and from memory only had one season away at Edinburgh, otherwise he was a Bandit throughout his career, and happily is still involved at Berwick.

We told told by the fountain of knowledge over on the Berwick thread that he was nailed on for a return to Shielfield, only time will tell on that of course by Longtrack commitments allowing Josef Franc certainly comes in on a very attractive average no matter who he signs for. -

Finished the 2014 season with an average just over six, so he will need to get a top four place in State Champs if he is to ride for anyone next season. -
And what exactly made you think, I think you`ll find Berwick have an excellent reputation among their riders past and present as being prompt payers, I wonder if every club could say that.

As has already been mentioned Bjerre has signed for Redcar, this could be quite an expensive winter for you.

Might just be me but I get the feeling the next Scunthorpe signing, announced this Thursday, might be French. -
I would like to see Vissing back, he was due to have his injured knee operated on by now, so you would like to think he would be fully fit for the start of next season. His form was decent pre-injury, but after a couple of seasons at Berwick both the rider and the club may feel his future lies elsewhere.
-
No, please, the more posts from this particular poster the better IMO.
-
Wethers has the capabilities and experience of being a very useful reserve, so should prove a good signing, but he has a low average for a reason. Hopefully he does add to his starting figure.
-
Nailed on where though.
-
Good grief.
-
Delighted to see Aarnio fixed up for next season, not sure if it will happen but if he starts at reserve for the Diamonds, as he was last season, he could be one of the strongest reserves in the PL.
-
I was only talking about one though, still never mind I didn't know you were counting, that`ll be 16261 then .

Can post 518 be given a tiny bit of credit please.

Good to see Cook looking to further his career, I hope it works for him, racing in leagues abroad plus getting into SGP Qualifiers should help in that direction. His decision to move on from Edinburgh might actually help the Edinburgh promotion in putting next years team together as it frees up quite a number of points.
-
Agree with you regarding Carr, though you can use the same argument for Carr as you are for Ruddick, namely he will be racing NL riders in his heats. I just think its to much of a jump for Ruddick, as even in his races he will be racing NL heat leaders and No1`s, something he isn't just yet.
-
Wouldn't that be to much of a jump though, Ruddick was in the reserve position at Mildenhall last season and only moved up into the team when they signed Stefan Farnaby, so to go from a reserve in the NL to reserve in the PL would be asking to much of him. Much better IMO to have another year in the NL, win some races, build on confidence and experience, and if the BSPA haven't binned this No7 draft idea for 2017 Berwick could have another look then. Carr, as an asset, would be a much better option, though as has been mentioned Liam is coming in for some interest from other clubs.

Don't think you`ll be to far away with your team, the No6 gap could quite easily be filled by Matt Wethers.
