2016 Swc Semi's And Final 29/30/july 2016
screm replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Two Grandstand tickets bought, hotel is booked and we`re ready for Manchester. -
While I agree with you, surely Berwick had ample opportunity to get rid of a rider where it was clear as to what he was up to, instead they left him in the team week after week to continue see his average fall to such a level that Newport took him off our hands.

Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..
screm replied to dump that clutch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Maybe Swindon should change their name from Robins to kangaroos. Decent looking team though. -
Lewis Kerr has signed for Lakeside Hammers.
-
The reception he received that night, or introduction on parade at least, was unnecessary and unprofessional, but surely everyone has moved on since then.
-
Is Davey eligible to race in the NL next season.
-
No doubting that Gjedde has been a class act racing over here, but IMO its about the here and now for the rider, and for his club. As Spin King has pointed out his recent record isn't one to inspire confidence, hopefully for him and Plymouth Gjedde can recapture former glories, I have my doubts.
-
To do that Gjedde will have to get back to the kind of scores he was producing for Newport, and that wasn't yesterday.
-
At least give us a clue, animal, vegetable or mineral.
-
We dont have to wait, as I am sure you can tell us, so off you go.
-
I see the Gjedde signing for Plymouth and the Alden signing for Berwick both as gambles, both riders are returning after retirement. Alden at least has made some of track return towards the end of last season, I dont think Gjedde has, both have proved to be good scorers at PL level, both clubs must be hoping both riders can get back to that. Sorry SCB, but I don`t see Gjedde as a 9pt PL man, no matter how good his return is.
-
I would rather forget that one.
-
Seems Kerr`s new EL club will be announced in the next two or three days, I`m guessing Leicester.
-
That`s a good thing as you have exhausted his full vocabulary of knowledge of speedway. Maybe we could do a swap for one of your loons.
-
Yes it is, though at least with Adlen, he rode some meetings towards the end of last season, I`m not sure Gjedde did that.
-
Must admit Gjedde is a bit of an odd signing, I mean its not like he seemed to be on anyone's shopping list during this close season. If he can get back to the kind of form he had a few seasons ago, all well and good, but beware signing the rider who has spent the kind of time away from regular racing like Gjeede has.
-
Note to Berwick Promotion, this time next year please please dont be signing our team so soon, you can sign the riders but please no early announcements, or this is what we end up with.

Ok this could be open to abuse, rider in the team has a couple of stinker rides, says he is injured and pulls out of the meeting so the reserve can get a couple of rides. Even if that were to happen it still has to be better than the situation we had where a team is penalised through no fault of their own. -
This could turn into a better pantomime than the one The Maltings puts on.
-
I take you have seen Garcia on a regular bases, to give your opinion on, or are you just looking a figures.
-
Some Berwick fans will hope that is the case. Thought Garcia might miss out on a team place over here for next season, so happy he has his chance with Glasgow. Agree with you on Garcia, sometimes at Berwick his kit wasn't the best, hopefully for him mounted on better bikes he will be a decent scorer for the Tigers.
-
Maybe Edinburgh will bring in an assessed 5pt man, as they did for last season.

While I think this rule change is a good one, and long overdue, I can see a scenario where this will be open to abuse. -
No definitely not local dialect, seems to be a World of his own with no passport required.
