  1. Lets hope there`s not to much sun at Kings Lynn tomorrow night.
  2. Only some Berwick fans are paranoid, others see Edinburgh for what they are, a top PL speedway team and all credit to them.
  3. One or two un-savoury characters going there this year, and with a bit of luck they wont read this.
  4. Of course Berwick knew, infact it was posted on here last week that Kus would miss Friday, I`m surprised Berwick didn't include in one of their newsletters, maybe it was on a need to know bases. Kus will return for Saturday & Sunday.
  5. Excellent result for Berwick, will it be enough for the 2nd leg, no probably not but with the kind of form Edinburgh have been in this season any victory over them is a good one. I`m surprised people are surprised over Kus, he was never going to be at Edinburgh on Friday. As soon as these dates were arranged Berwick and Edinburgh for that matter would've known there was a fixture clash and that the one in Czech would take priority, its not like Kus turned up at Shielfield last night and announced for the first time he couldn't make it on Friday. Berwick have known for a while they would be Kusless on Friday and should've announced it before last night. Mr Barrie always has plenty to say, I will leave for others to decide if any of it is worth listening to.
  6. I stayed at Hotel Assenzio, and would again, hotel was clean, staff were very helpful, room was basic but perfectly good, breakfasts were spectacular, only problem is we seemed to have the only room on the ground floor and had traffic noise all night. So if I return to this hotel its safe to say I wont be wanting room 14.
  7. Mullered ?.....Mullered ? I think not, this Berwick team currently sit in a decent position in the PL, above such sides as Workington, and having already won at Derwent Park it doesn't come as a shock that we are.
  8. Its pretty certain I will go to another GP abroad next year, Prague is very high on the list as I really enjoyed this year. I would book the same hotel but not the same room.
  9. Cant we wire the tapes up to the electric, that would stop the tape touching.
  10. That's a helluva change in headline to this thread, curses to those Panthers.
  11. Cook will need to make a few decisions at the end of the season, if he wants to further his career and become the best rider he can be he needs to move away from the PL and get into Poland and/or Sweden. If he wants to pick up relatively easy money for the next few years then he continue in the PL for Edinburgh and have a doubling up team in the EL.
  12. Agree with you. From the first time I saw Pedersen racing in an early season challenge meeting at Berwick you could see he was a talent, and has gone on to realise that talent. Nicki is box office, even if its for the wrong reasons at times, and speedway will be the poorer when he calls it a day.
  13. Glasgow may have missed out on Bellego as an asset but from what I`ve seen young Berge has something about him and could be easily as good as Bellego.
  14. Newcastle are more than a decent team round their own track, and as last night showed have plenty race winners in their team.
  15. Just Berwick`s luck that Berge returns for this one, as you say he could be Glasgow's match winner. Aye your right there.
  16. Vissing may well have aggravated his knee injury when falling in his third ride as he was well out of sorts for his last ride. Doolan has had his critics of late but he rode well last night, hopefully the new bits on his bike are doing the trick. IMO Berwick can be proud of their efforts last night, maybe more race wins was needed, but all they played their part in a good night speedway, though looking at some other social media I`m wondering if I was at Newcastle last night.
  17. Decent nights racing in a meeting that had everything, falls, controversy and some good racing. Berwick were well in this meeting, and could probably have pinched a point or two but seemed to run out of steam towards the later races. Doolan and Kus were good for Berwick, Jensen and Wethers were ok and Carr deserved more for his efforts, however Berwick were let down by their no1 Vissing who sadly had his worst night of the season so far. Lack of race winners were Berwicks un-doing but they can be proud of their efforts. King and Kerr were excellent for Newcastle, turning point for Newcastle was after having two poor outings Lindgren then went undefeated in his last two rides which went along way to open a gap in the scores. Highlight of the night IMO was a Berwick fan who decided to walk up to the pits to throw a load of bile at Simon Nielsen, after making a bit of a testical of himself beat a hasty retreat.
  18. Try telling that to a number of Berwick fans over on the Newcastle v Berwick thread, they have a similar situation with Bellego.
  19. Wasn't me that brought up the subject of any ban so go rant with the poster who did.
  20. Unless Berwick claim Bellego is withholding his services, which he isn't, he wont face any ban. I am amazed Berwick haven't announced this fact.
  21. Had Bellego really wanted to be at Newcastle tonight then I think he would've been, it seems Peterborough are having the same issue with Lasse Bjerre.
  22. It isn't only Peterborough that are affected by riders struggling to return from Italy, Berwick are minus David Bellego for their trip to Newcastle, though you have to question the wisdom of why Peterborough would agree to ride against the PL leaders a day after the first Final where it was always going to be likely that Bjerre would be in it.
  23. That doesn't mean to say its not true, surely your not one of the merry band that needs to have it officially announced by the club before they believe it, I thought better of you.
  24. Really. Just before six o'clock referee Margaret Vardy and team captains Derek Sneddon and Matthew Wethers made the briefest of track inspections and the inevitable decision was taken to call off the Knock Out Cup quarter final first leg. At that stage the stadium was being lashed by heavy rain and the track was long past repair. Berwick had been relatively dry all day but drizzle started falling at 4.30pm and got worse and worse after that. Supporters travelling down the A1 to the match had to endure dreadful driving conditions only to arrive at a very soggy Shielfield Park. Both teams were keen that this fixture would not create further fixture congestion later in the season so the match has been re-arranged for this Wednesday, 23rd July with a start time of 7.30pm.
