Edinburgh Vs Scunthorpe (pl) 2/5/14

Interesting to see how Fox gets on a reserve, think its fair to say he has struggled at times when in the No2 position, he now has the chance to get scoring. -
Glasgow Vs Panthers - 27th April
screm replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The 18-year-old Frenchman is being kept under observation at Glasgow Royal Infirmary following his high-speed get-off during his team's Premier League clash with Peterborough Panthers. Tigers chiefs initially thought he could walk away relatively unscathed, but medics are assessing pain in the youngster's side and back area, as well as his wrist - though he's not believed to have broken any bones. Remarkably, despite the spectacular collision with opponent Lasse Bjerre, brave Berge was desperate afterwards to find out if his team had won the match - and is already talking about getting back on the track. However, there is no estimate on a return date for the British speedway debutant and he looks set to remain in medical care for the majority of the week. Tigers co-promoter Colin Hamilton said last night it was only the teenager's drive to score points for the club that had landed him in a spot of bother. "At his young age, he's very determined," Hamilton said. "He's very quiet off the bike but as soon as he puts that helmet on, he's racing for the team and for himself. That's what he did on Sunday and he contributed to a victory - our first of the season. "We just hope he gets better quickly and then we get to a position where he can decide and we can talk to him about continuing his development. It was a high-speed crash on the back straight - that's when the bikes are at their highest speed. "We're pleased from what we've heard that Lasse Bjerre has come out of it just battered and bruised, and we wish him the best, too." -

I`m sure that other promotion must be looking at their riders, particularly with their poor scores, and least I hope they would be. -

Peterborough V Newcastle - Tuesday 29th April

Newcastle can take a lot out of the meeting, even in a losing effort. Maybe a change of luck will see them get better results, their season is far from over, to suggest otherwise would be extremely silly and leave that poster open to ridicule for ever more, no matter what they posted. Awaits post to suggest otherwise. And there it is. -

Its a fair point, maybe Poole should've been the one who faced the chop. -

I`m sure the Newcastle promotion will only see their riders performance for their team as their priority. -

To be fair there`s very few Sky PL meetings that have failed the thrill, the EL supporters must be wondering what all this overtaking is. -

Before Newcastle`s next meeting I think its fair to say Lewis Kerr needs to spend a bit of time in the workshop looking over his kit. -

Another great advert for PL racing, Sky need to admit defeat with all this EL stuff and concentrate on the PL. -

There is no doubt that I`m a diamond geezer, anything else you suggest is rumour mongering. -

Exciting to watch maybe, but in the new averages Roynons average has dropped quite considerably, even allowing for these rolling averages, so IMO Sheffield are quite within their rights in making this change. -

I`d consider camping out Friday night to make sure you get in, bonus is if it rains I`m sure our co-team manager can put you up. -

Seems Ty doesn't quite fancy a trip to Berwick this Saturday, more better is a trip to Eastbourne to race for Wolves. -

Two more names can be added to the starting line up, the Czechs have nominated Tomasz Suchanek, while France have nominated Mat Tresarrieu. -
Teams for Saturday. Berwick 1 Kevin Doolan 2 Rider Replacement 3 Matej Kus 4 Mathew Wethers 5 Claus Vissing 6 Steen Jensen 7 Liam Carr Sheffield 1 Simon Stead 2 Andre Compton 3 Leigh Lanham 4 Taylor Poole 5 Rider Replacement 6 Simon Nielson 7 Josh Bates The Sheffield line up may change in respect of where they use their r/r. Berwick`s David Bellego misses the meeting as he is away racing in the World Under-21 qualifying round in Germany, while Sheffield`s new signing Ty Proctor will be racing for his EL club at Eastbourne.

I will be cheering on the Diamonds tonight, though I fear a home win, but just as long as the meeting just the PL justice I`m sure we will all be happy. -
Whatever Bridgers troubles are I hope he gets them sorted asap.

With Roynon becoming available there`s bound to be promoters looking at their team and thinking about making a change.

Newcastle Diamonds V Berwick Bandits 27th April, 2014
screm replied to Tsunami's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Then get old Monty down to the shops and get him to buy a drop. A few days ago you were booting poor old Schramm out of the reserve position, now you putting him in as your No2 which is widely recognized as the hardest position to ride. Larsen would be a bid scorer in the PL but would it be wise to make to many changes to get him in. -

Sorry but I cant get this, lets feel sorry for Roynon, he may well be a well rounded, lovely guy who would do anything for anybody, but the promotion at Sheffield clearly feel they are better off without Roynon and with Proctor. Over the course of this season we will find out if they have got it right. As for Roynon I`m sure there`ll be a team who are looking at signing him, maybe we will see him in a new team within the next week. -

And best of all he does not have a team in Poland. He could be a Diamond very soon.
