  1. Nobody is preventing Holder,Ward etc riding over here,at the end of the day if any rider really wants to ride in the EL then they will.
  2. Yes I get voices in my head to,horrible isnt it,but I dont post the messages they give me,
  3. No obviously all the changes Poole made last season werent because of injuries but in most cases they were, when you lose your top rider that necessitates more than one change and Poole lost both of Ward & Holder as well as others during the season.Maybe it is to their credit that they made so many changes and they still won the play-off final.
  4. More money with less meetings, have a look and see what ex-World Champ Chris Holder says on the subject, put it this if hes asked to ride more meetings in the UK for less money then Poole wont be seeing him in their colours. He will ride in Denmark or Czech as an alternative.
  5. How about going back to concrete starts, that will take away any advantage in the gates, and take away any delays in gardening.
  6. Doesnt any prospective buyer have to be cleared by the BSPA before the sale can go through.Something like a fit and proper person test, though if that particular magnifying glass was directed at some of the current crop of promoters theres a chance there would be very few left.(insert appropriate smiley)
  7. Possibly, buy SKY hold the upper hand in any negotiations IMO as speedway needs SKY more than SKY needs speedway.
  8. Not knocking Ford or any of the other EL promoters who have come out recently saying how important this conference is,and how much everyone needs to work together, but Im afraid we seem to hear these noises before every conference in recent times without very much actually getting done.I hope their words have meaning this time round and we see a way forward for speedway in this country come sunday evening.
  9. Something that Mr Havelock certainly doesnt. For the life of me I cant understand why anyone would consider him for GB team manager.Phil Morris for me all day long.
  10. Not sure Id have Aspegren in any Berwick team giving the level of his performances in the season just gone, however you`ve posted a decent team and one something along the lines of what we will be seeing in 2014.As you say if Carr is to be one of the reserves then its vital that there is strength in the other reserve position.
  11. Ticket are printed, for those wanting to avoid me we will be sitting in section B2 Row 15 Seats 38 & 37. First overseas GP,infact my 1st GP anywhere so Im really looking forward to visiting Prague and going to the GP.
  12. If Howes Longtrack activities in 2014 are anything like 2013 then that has to rule him out of any chance of a Berwick contract.
  13. While I dont think this will be the Berwick seven for 2014 it does at least show that a strong 2nd reserve to partner Carr can be achieved.Lets hope the Berwick promotion are thinking along the same lines.
  14. Then somebody needs to tell that we dont have a fair ground out the back every week.
  15. So Edinburgh are going EL,you heard it here 1st. With the size of average Cook has that decision might be taking out of his hands, also,if Cook wants to make something of his career as I believe he does would another season in the PL benefit the lad,he already proved in season 2013 that he was the best around.
  16. Carr has come on alot this season, and will sign for Berwick for 2014.My only hope is that if we are about to go with a strength in depth team Carrs reserve partner is one of the best around.Nobody would expect Carr to start banging in top scores straight away so it would make sense that we have a reserve who can. That would rule out Barrett,Edberg and sadly Starke. Ive no doubt that what our manager has said it wouldve been checked and cleared with the club. Or maybe not.(insert devilish good smiley.) Never gonna happen.
  17. Thats what Ive done,I will be sitting in the B4 section.
  18. Im buying my tickets for the Czech GP and considering using the postal option instead of the print option,is this wise or is it better to use the print option.
  19. Not only 5 loanees but weak at reserve IMO,good idea to sign 1 of Starke and Carr but not both as I think whatever points you gain in Ht1 you`d be almost certainly be giving back in Ht2,especially away from home.It appears its a case of now or never for signing Liam Carr as if Berwick dont then Edinburgh certainly wiil, which is a bit tough on Paul Starke as IMO he did all that was asked of him in 2013,Carr of course will become a Berwick asset which will tip the scales in his favour.
  20. In years gone by Rymel,Franc etc have proved it possible to ride at Berwick aswell as leagues in Poland and Czech so Bellego can to.IMO our riders can ride where ever they want just as long as they are committed to Berwick and dont start missing meetings.
  21. Not so sure about Tully but Im expecting Wethers to be a Monarch again in 2014.
  22. Excellent interview,Tai came over very well.It wasnt your normal question and answer session but more a conversational so it was an excellent advert for our sport.
  23. Tai Woffinden will be appearing on the Colin Murray show on Talksport tomorrow between 10am and 1pm,he will be part of the show called Murray meets.
  24. Dont think its been mentioned on this thread so far but it appears that Berwick will make a later start than normal to the 2013 season, which IMO would make all kinds of sense. In the season just gone there was far to many blank saturdays in the middle of the season, some couldnt be avoided with the switch due to Sky coverage for the visit of Newcastle and the Cardiff GP,some couldve been avoided if the team had qualified to the later stages of the KOC etc.Continuity on saturday speedway has to be something the promotion need to look at for the 2014 season.
  25. Fair play to Ritchie Worrall for wanting to further his career by taking on Poland, lets hope he gets enough fixtures for it to be worth while. If he does decide to ride in the PL but not for a sunday track then its safe to say its unlikely to be Redcar.
