This has been posted by David Ayres on Facebook. Danny's funeral on the 14th of February Go to Mildenhall Stadium which will be open about 12 noon. There will be a play area for the children so families welcome. Danny will be brought in about 1pm and go round the track escorted by the riders. Then on to the Crematorium for 2pm, Those with small children can watch the funeral streamed live to the Stadium as best not to take them to the Crematorium . Party time at the Stadium afterwards. Fish and chip shop will be open and the bar. Music about 7pm. All welcome to give him a send off. This is a celebration not a wake, so colourful clothing please. Danny's favourite colour is pink. All welcome.

Jason Crump is 44, retired from regular racing about 8 years ago and has nothing to prove to anyone, he doesn't need the money you would guess never mind the expense of getting bikes and other bits of kit ready Yes he has rode in a few meetings over the winter but would he drag his family halfway round the World to race for Peterborough, I think not.

Grandstand now sold out. You would imagine that the standing area tickets sales will now pick up meaning the temporary seating stand on bends three and four will guaranteed I would guess.
-
Giving the announcement made by Newcastle last night, I am guessing that Nathan Greaves will have some competition for his No1 race jacket.
-
I get the reason why Leon has been stopped from riding for Newcastle but it's two different competitions and as long as there was no fixture clashes I would've thought a young rider getting track time would be encouraged rather than blocked.

Like he was there at all. Dont forget this article wont work for a living never mind do a bit of work as a volunteer.
-
This was Danny only 3-4 weeks ago after a practice at Scunthorpe, clearly looking forward to this season with Scunthorpe and Ipswich. How sad it is when the season starts he wont be there.

Shockingly tragic news. Taken way to young RIP Danny Ayres

These little black books didn't always have other riders name in though did they.

I would certainly hang fire about adding any fixtures to calendars, never mind anyone thinking about booking work holidays. For example the British Under-21 at Redcar takes place on Friday May 15th, that being the case Berwick are at Edinburgh the same night, both meetings would involve Leon Flint and Kyle Bickley. The same night there is meetings at Scunthorpe and Plymouth which is likely to feature riders who will be in the Under-21 Final. Also on the two nights of the SON Finals at Belle Vue there is meetings scheduled, Scunthorpe v Leicester, Edinburgh v Newcastle, Plymouth v Mildenhall for the Friday with a possible meeting scheduled for Berwick on the Saturday though that meeting just now is reserved. Either way its unlikely any meeting will run against the SON Finals you wouldve thought.

Came passed Shielfield this morning and the pit gates were open so I`m guessing there was some sort of track work going on then. Not sure they would get much done as there was game at Shielfield today which was kicking off at lunchtime.

One seat left in the main grandstand F section Row L seat 148, who wants it.

Sadly under this particular chairman I think tampering with a KOC draw might just be the tip of an iceberg.
-
Armadale`s latest signing is Lewis Millar.
-
So its........ First round Berwick v Newcastle Edinburgh v Glasgow Scunthorpe v Redcar Eastbourne v Poole Second round Berwick/Newcastle v Leicester Edinburgh/Glasgow v Birmingham Scunthorpe/Redcar v Kent Eastbourne/Poole v Somerset Season after season

Returning backer for Berwick http://www.berwickspeedway.com/news/simpsons-malt-backing
-
The fact that the KOC draw has been tampered with at all just shows the amateurish mess we are in at times.
-
Looking at the available grandstand tickets there are now only 30 left, so very much on the way to a sell out as far as that part of the stadium is concerned.
-
Leon Flint has signed for Newcastle for their National Trophy team
-
Looks like the fixtures could be out later this week.
-
As with the previous night Team GB have enjoyed another win against Australia, this time by 54-36. Leon Flint scored 5+2.

Will there be subtitles as personally I cant understand a word Havelock says. Must admit I find this a very odd decision.
