There has previously been a substantial amount of debt noted in the group of companies which largely seems to have been satisfied. I would be surprised if Osborne hasn't laid foundations for the next attempt to redevelop the Abbey. As before, they'll be the only foundations that will get laid! Technik Posted August 22 Report Share Posted August 22 I will not loose any sleep after the death of Clarke Osbourne he & his company took away to many speedway venues & took Torquay United to the depths of dispair. As for the future of Swindon with him gone there will be less opposition to progress however whilst I would never doubt Rosco's passion for Swindon Speedway but passion alone will not build a stadium & any Buisness consortium would carry out a means test & find that to build a venue for speedway alone from scratch would not be viable. Nobody knows what Mrs Osborne's appetite and plans are going to be - has Osborne left instruction and things in place to progress in a certain direction? It wouldn't surprise me at all.
