He has no land….. he has been offered some to buy for half a million quid. Then he has to build a track on top of that. We need a miracle !

Why should he pay for the land when as crump99 posted there maybe a case for the developer and maybe the council to be more involved to assist with the relocation of the club and the building of a new venue via them contributing with money this it seems was apart of the purchase of the showground by the developer

Bald Bloke has his knickers in a MT hate twist as he seems to think MT purchased this land when i believe it was rumoured at the time that he had purchased the old BCA site in fengate for his auction business ,

I am tbh lol.

I just don't understand how Buster can turn down Matej Zagar when he doesn't have another option on the table.

Then Panthers fans get fed a straight up lie in a PR saying that the club has approached several riders but none of them want to ride in the UK.

At the least ofter what MT promised , and not delivered, he could dip into his pocket and pay for Zagar….. He was on £5k a meeting last season and I guess he wants some kind of signing on fee.

Land is going for 2/300k an acre in Peterborough, unless he incorporates his business into that I can’t see it happening

That’s what I read he was thinking of doing. If your land prices are correct, that would suggest to me that MT may of been dreaming…

Funny cos Plymouth said exactly the same thing last year!

Agree.

Just got to hire out a few of those Just Stop Oil Actors and put them in #BusterOUT / #TomalinIN T-Shirts for the evening and give them specific instructions to glue themselves to the starting gate in a show of support for Michael Tomalin.

That'll get a reaction out of Buster...........Just kidding ;)

They could get on the track and draw another inside line on the bends to confuse the riders...

Oh hang on..

That's a policy not a protest isnt it..? :D

No undecrackers In a twist here.I thought he said he was buying the club and  re location it on another site. Then I read something about a 26 acre site.
At the end of the day he promised so much, and at the moment it don’t look like he will deliver. A lot of fans were buzzing at his comments. If you were Buster would you keep going after the crap he gets on here?  The passionate man with the gift of the gab and money is very quiet. He had plenty to say 5 or 6 weeks ago.. If he is such a fan and would like to buy the club like he said he would why don’t he get his money out for Zagar to help the club and it’s fans.

With a gust who scores sod all ..... most teams would lose at home. Not a great feeling when your " Number 1 " goes out in heat 1 and comes back to the pits with a big fat ZERO.

With less than a seasons racing left for the club ..... Buster Chapman must be busing a gut to minimise his expenditure on the club.  No way is he likely to splash the cash on a new "number one"  rider .... unless he gets lucky with a few gusts P'boro are wooden spoonists in the last PL season.

They have been offered a 26 acre site, that is correct. However the farmer wants half a mil. There is no help what so ever from the council. The only hope is that the new developers of the showground  set up a meeting with the club in the summer when they officially get the keys to the show ground as such, maybe if they start building down the bottom corner they can keep the track for another year if the club pay them some rent or something ?

what I don’t understand is why dhl inside track have just got a 5 year lease to store cars on the showground, surely if your going to develop the site into what the plans look like you don’t what hundreds of cars being stored there ?

That makes things a bit clearer from the new site situation. However maybe MT shouldn’t of promised so much so soon. And before he knew he could deliver. That’s what got all the fans buzzing, and now they feel so deflated with the last east news about the club. I’m no Buster fanboy, but I do think he is taking a lot of crap ,when MT looks to have spouted everything the fans wanted to hear, and not delivered. Just my opinion, we all have our own I guess.

Perhaps because Chapman would over-rule him because Zagar has a Z in his name?

What continues to annoy me is the disconnect between owners/management and the fans...has there been any statements or anything from last night other than that garbage from Anderson about still not getting the right set up!?

And another thing..why is there such uproar from the BSPA cronies and petitions about Wolves closing but nothing of the sort about us?

They only submitted a planning application last week, they’ll be lucky to sink a brick in the ground before 2028, if at all.

And that's why I can't understand why the club is not making more of a fuss, unless it is behind the scenes of course?

The council doesn't have to spend anything but it should be ensuring that it's own local plan is adhered to. One last time as I'm fed up of posting this:

Policy LP30: Culture, Leisure, Tourism and Community Facilities (Existing Culture, Leisure, Tourism and Community Facilities)

The loss, via redevelopment, of an existing culture, leisure, tourism or community facility will only be permitted if it is demonstrated that:

k. The facility is demonstrably no longer fit for purpose and the site is not viable to be
redeveloped for a new community facility;  - which it is

l. The service provided by the facility is met by alternative provision that exists within
reasonable proximity: what is deemed as reasonable proximity will depend on the nature
of the facility and its associated catchment area; - is Kings Lynn or Leicester alternative and reasonable?

m. The proposal includes the provision of a new facility of a similar nature and of a similar or
greater size in a suitable on or off-site location. - it doesn't unless AEPG have included it in their application? So they should pay for the land and construction?

Looking at the report on the public meeting last night regarding the DHL situation, AEPG will need taking to task. Hopefully there are some councillors with bottle: "By the end of the three-hour meeting on (April 17) many residents were left disappointed by the response of the Showground operator AEPG (Asset Earning Power Group) to their concerns."

"And both sides understand the strength of the other’s opposing position. But their overall attitude suggests they will just push on with this regardless and they are not interested in residents’ feelings." - which doesn't sound positive for us?

Cllr Stevenson said: “I fear that residents will be less interested in giving up their time for future meetings given how poorly this one was managed.

"At one point AEPG asked residents not to discuss matters on social media, which shows a lack of understanding of the world we now live in.

The cynic in me wasn’t surprised the meeting took place at the same time as Panthers were flopping against Belle Vue. AEPG have for over a year now portrayed this mantra that it’s all a done deal, the majority of local residents didn’t even realise that a planning application had not been submitted until last week. The underhand DHL storage deal for which AEPG have now submitted a retrospective planning application has stirred the residents, they are not happy with the increased traffic movements and they are now beginning to take more notice.

It’s worth noting that the Haddon development which is about the same size as the Showground has only now started to be developed many years after the planning application was submitted.

FWIW I thought AEPGs plans were fanciful and when I first saw them I thought to myself there was no chance of them succeeding and I’ve seen nothing since to change my mind.

Why do they want to end the Speedway and every other event? It’s obvious really, they want it to become a desert wasteland full of cars and vans, that becomes an eyesore and so they hope the council will eventually approve the plans to develop it. All depends how big the councils balls are I guess.
