As Neutral a track as you can get.  Good choice.  Have a Semi in Scandinavia & one in the UK and should get decent crowds.

The qualifiers have often been poorly attended - there were almost more people in the pits in Wrocław than the stands for the qualifiers. So it makes sense to stage the qualifiers each with a home team, so that would be GB and Denmark. But, for logistical reasons, not in the week of the final.

GB should be either NSS (though there might be a GP there in 2026) or Glasgow

Don't think the money nor effort nor ability to do this, but just my thought. They will also want qualifying close to the final night. Think smaller city track or tracks during the week or at best the weekend prior.

I reckon Gladgoe would get a crowd of 2000 if GB involved. Nowhere in Poland would attract that sort of number if Poland not involved. Wrocław didn’t make 2000 in total for the three qualifiers. Nothing like it. Similarly, the NSS for the SoN had maybe a thousand in total for the qualifiers and maybe 1200 for the under 21 SoN final - when GB was involved.

SWC Semi’s are in Germany and Latvia in 2026.

All change as well for SWC in 2026

SON winners in Torun into SWC final( if Poland win it then it’s the runners-up that take the place.

no race-off- only the winners of the 2 Semi’s qualify for the Warsaw final.

What strikes me is that this is a dumbing down of the prestige competition in World Speedway that is held every 3 years. Now we have the situation where a country with 2 good riders can qualify for the final of the top 4 rider team competition.

It also looks remarkably similar (although much truncated) to the pre 2001 competition

10 teams will be involved in SWC 2026.

these 10 will all be decided by finishing positions in next weeks SON.

Into the final are the SON winners - If Poland win it then the runners up are in it along with Poland.

8 teams that contest the Semi’s  must include Germany and Latvia( staging the Semi’s) and other 6 teams will be the highest placed SON result teams.

Poland already seeded leaves the other final spot between GB/Australia/Denmark, realistically. I wonder what odds you'd get on the 'draw' for the SWC semis splitting up whichever two sides get there? Hard to see anything else than a GB/Australia/Denmark/Poland final already. I'm sure it makes sense from a financial perspective, less so from a sporting one.

With only those 4 teams capable of fielding a side strong enough to realistically win a SWC, it would make more sense to make the competition a 4 round affair with a leg in each country, a finale in Australia coupled with a SGP now that would be something worth watching 👀

Interestingly I did a google search to confirm SWC is 29th August 2026, and AI corrected me and stated it was 27th September 2026.

AI is not accurate or verified, just reports what's on other online sites, as you've just proved.
