I see a much bigger issue.

Starke's inclusion meant this was no longer an NDL meeting, and so would have to be classed as a Championship standard meeting.

Riders have to be 16 to ride in a Championship standard meeting, but Cooper Rushen rode at age 15.

Thank god there was  no serious accident, or there would have been one hell of a problem with the insurers.   Can't believe Vatcher allowed this to go ahead.

Starke would be eligible for the NDL/NDT if he didn't have a Champ spot. Maybe that could be the reason given for him being allowed to ride?

He's in a similar situation to Ben Morley, if Morley signed for a Champ team, he'd have to give up his NDT team spot.

Maybe that's the logic if Morley can ride, Starke can too?

If this happens pretty sure they will go with one top league with 2 home and 2 away a higher team ave and maybe  a stronger NL for teams that maybe can’t afford or manage the extra fixtures

If that option comes down to extra cost for clubs then you might be surprised at how many opt for a new stronger NL?!

Apparently Will Cairns hasn't broken any thing, just a bit of ligament damage and bruising

Great news, so fingers crossed for a speedy return. Question now is Starke or Ritchings is to be released. On Wednesday result I would imagine Ritchings but next few matches will be telling. At the moment we look like a play off side but not champions.

Tonight's match beggars belief-Mulford for Zach and Barker for Boughen!!! Even without the flying Thomson I think we will struggle, Richard and Anders can't win the match for us!

It is Edwards for Zack

Poole could be in a bit of a predicament if Ritchings out scores Starke in the next 4 matches

Sorry, but it sounds like I'm "having a go" at you today (I'm not, just a difference of opinion!!!), but I thought the NDL rule was a rider who has achieved a CL average over 4.00 could not ride in the NDL, which would rule Starkey out??

Also Alfie Bowtell was allowed to ride against Kent on Sunday in an NDL level meeting.

Taken from what is titled this years regulations

"A team may include 1 rider who has previously achieved an MA above 4.00 to a maximum of 6.00 (inclusive) in the Championship League (prior to the 2024 season) who is not declared in a Championship or Premiership Team Declaration. If that rider is then declared in a Championship or Premiership Team Declaration the NDL/NDT club will have 28 days to replace that rider from the date of the Championship/Premiership declaration"
