  1. So let’s pull various strands together. Six consecutive competitive meetings completed in glorious weather in front of excellent crowds. No major accidents or incidents to report. Midweek racing continues to pose a problem in terms of rider availability. Unavoidable withdrawals due to previous weekend injury appear to have created some disruption which have been managed creatively. NORA is the correct ‘league’ for the Warriors who could simply not afford the many costs associated with BSPL affiliation. Expect more of the same in 2027.

  3. Bought the stream and quite their enjoyed the coverage. Felt a bit sorry for the person sorting out the graphics not knowing who was going where at the gate, even more so when Edinburgh went rogue with helmet colours! Charles Wright whilst exciting, was in my view over-riding. Oxford excellent all night.
  4. Admission is £25 as set by the BSPL. No concessions. That’s why I’ll get the Pirates TV stream at £13.99 which is usually quite well presented. Wonder if the early start at 7.00 will catch some out.
  5. BSN website line up showing suspended fine for Joe T. What’s that all about?
  6. I saw that, but only 3 competitors. Hats off to the Isle of Wight for giving the Women a chance. Perhaps the mid-week date and geographically remote location was a problem.
  7. I thought this was going to be covered by BSN but apparently not. The Poole live stream will be doing it.
  8. What surprises me is that whenever I go, Terry the Track is involved with the preparation alongside Russell Foot. Not so long ago Terry was seen as the best in the business. I wonder what’s stopping him from weaving his magic?
  9. More bad luck for Dan Gilkes following the training crash with Ace Pijper at Glasgow over the weekend. Shoulder damage might rule him out for the rest of the season.
  10. With the regular Danish league season running to the end of August, how many more Poole home meetings is RL likely to miss?
  11. With Poole now running home league meetings on Wednesday 5 August and Friday 7 August, what chance the Pairs scheduled for Saturday 8 August gets postponed?
  12. Don’t forget the Championship Pairs on the Saturday as well. Something will have to give.
  13. I wonder if he got one of those ‘after the match’ medical certificates at Belle Vue on Monday?
  14. If the Warriors can find away of carrying on, which I believe is by no means certain, it would be great to have them back in the NDL, however the cost of meeting all the current requirements of membership will be significant and probably too much for them. Can you see Mark Lemon rallying his fellow promoters to do a ‘Northampton’ style relaunch on the Island. I think not.
  15. Reminds me of Poole’s last meeting of 2025 against Redcar. Two down from first leg with everyone expecting a relatively easy home win and Bears upset the apple cart. Pirates will need to be switched on from the off to make sure of progress as the Monarchs are a very capable team this season.
  16. What he said. The Turbo Teens will have to rein in the gung-ho stuff to get round successfully and not throw away potential points.
  17. This needs someone who can interpret the rule book. His absence was for a family emergency which is understandable. Does the fact he was absence as a guest make any difference? A non speedway absence might mean a 7 day suspension. In which case a replacement at 75% of Kyle’s GSA of 8.28 could apply. Just my thoughts and happy to be corrected.
  18. I’ve been told it’s Masters, R/R for Killeen, McDiarmid, Morris (for Riss), Rowe, Wood, Summers (for Ritchings).
  19. So both Riss and Bowes are missing with non-speedway related ailments.
  20. Let’s split hairs. With the benefit of hindsight after watching the BSN coverage this morning, Kerr had an engine defect, not a failure.
  21. Yes it did. Logged in and viewed uninterrupted on my laptop. Shame the meeting had very little to enthuse about.
