Yes I know Oxford are riding v Plymouth on Wednesday, but next Wednesday clashes with the PSG v Arsenal match in the Champions league. Might have been an idea to ride on a Friday or Sunday as it’s a holiday weekend? How many fans are planning to go to the football.

Certainly is down when Poole clash with Bournemouth. There are many fans that go to both. Champions league next Wednesday. A shame there’s a clash which could have been avoided.

If anyone wants to watch both just go to speedway and watch the football on the phone in between the heats sorted! Definitely not worth moving a meeting for imo.

If anything they should be moving the Arsenal match, so it doesn't clash with Poole

Steve Shovlar
My daughter and I are heading to Arsenal on Saturday to see Cherries win. Not an Arsenal fan but support English clubs in European matches.

Steve seems the only person who is bothered. Most speedway fans aren't bothered by football

But you are expecting a fixture change because you want to watch football of a team you don't support 90% of the time. You will just have to choose which you would rather watch! It is May 1st and not April 1st right?? 🤷♀️👀

Most speedway fans aren't bothered by football I meet up with Gary May and quite a few speedway fans at Vitality before every home match. I see dozens of recognisable Poole fans at AFCB every home match. There is a big crossover. There are plenty of Cherries fans sitting around me in the main stand at Wimborne Road. I agree there are many that see both, I sat next to a Kings Lynn fan at a football match in London last week but it isnt Bournemouth playing next Wednesday and I wouldn't think too many Poole fans support Arsenal. It should be a good game to watch though, PSG play some amazing football and I fully expect them to win. I understand you think some may want to stay home and watch it on tv rather than see the Pirates live.

Garry doesn't pay does he? I also know of a few Bournemouth and even Southampton fans round me but the majority prefer their speedway over football. At the end of the day if Danny wants to run against a football match he can, it's his business!

Actually the only difference I was told is stewards as they do the football and speedway.

Shows how low speedway has fallen , reaching a British final was a huge accolade … now riders don’t care …. Let’s be honest Lawson is at the journeyman stage of his decent enough career .. better to see a young gun in my opinion

No he didn’t ride cause he believes it should be over a few rounds like most national championships instead of a one off on a track he knows he’s not going to win on. Very similar reasons as to why Ritchie Worrall never bothered a few years back.
