Luke Harrison at rising star šŸ‘šŸ» you’d have a thought King’s Lynn would have had the decency to tell the fans before Ipswich put it on their preview

It was on the Lynn website a while ago. They said they were looking at horses for courses, but obviously if he impresses you would have thought he would be a shoe in for the rest of the season.Ā

It's scandalous that the Championship dropped the process - both reserve positions should be British newcomers in the 2nd tierĀ

No non Brit should be allowed near a 2nd tier reserve positionĀ

Quick history lesson on why that is a bad idea. In 2015 Edinburgh had 2 x 3.00 reserves (minimum average at the time), when you didn't have to have any.

They both upped their average to 3.5 approx, then in 2016 a ruling was brought in that each team had to have a 3.00 rider.

That meant Edinburgh having to drop one of these improving young riders because they had done too well.

So by all means, suggest 2 Brits at reserve, but don't limit it to newcomers, where will they find 18 new riders every season for the reserve berth.

One thing they could have done, was to increase the minimum average for foreigners to 4.50 or 5.00 making it much harder for them to drop to reserve, not lowering it to 3.00, which doesn't help Brits at all!

Probably should mention King's Lynn now, if Nathan Ablitt had a Champ team I'd give him a go as a RS, but if they can use guests, no harm in picking riders on tracks they'll go better at?

So the idea wasn't bad but the execution was.......

Of course a blanket reset each year isn't likely to work. As you say tweaks needed in the regs as it develops

Also agree the non Brits minimum average should be retained and raisedĀ

The rising star looks likely to be either Hagon or Harrison, I’d go for Hagon though as he’s got the experience.

Klindt and Iversen seriously need looking at too though, not good enough at all!Ā

The club needs more ambition sign Palovaara

They've already got six six pointers - what do they need another one for?

And at 31 he's probably not got much improvement in him.

I don’t think Palovaara would be any better tbh… riding at reserve in the championship is a lot different to riding in the main body or even at reserve at premiership levelĀ

A reserve that’s been scoring around 20 points every Ā meeting now moving up to number oneĀ

Thing is most of Lynn’s 6 pointers are on the downhill anyway.Ā

That statement is rubbish, they may not be improving but not going downhill. They need to replace Boughen. Palovaara has said he doesnt want to do Premiership.

He rides swedish div 2 on Thursdays 🤷

Klindt is damn unreliable and Iversen is past his best. They both need to take up skiing on that downhill slope.

Klindt is inconsistent., that is why he is still a 6 pointer, he is a gater and can beat anyone on his day .Iversen is a great team man, he isnt the rider he was but can still do a good job for the teamĀ

A team of 6 pointers will not be in the playoffs mark my word. I’m very surprised that the team was built that way. Rob Lyon has been in the sport long enough to know that the team built is not a top side.

You say that... But you moan because Kerr is not riding to his average, but your other top 5 are all averaging higher than they started so far, when i last looked.

Good job your not at Lynn fan at the moment;)

Their starting average, and where they are after the first 8 meetings. Added Cook, but he ain't had a fair crack yet. We've been unlucky with Ben.

Ā Starting ave.

Cook 6.99.Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā - 2.54Ā  Ā (Averaged 3.20 from 4 meetings, RR or guest 5.70 from the other 4.)Ā

Lawson 6.91.Ā  Ā  Ā  - 0.59

Klindt 6.58.Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  - 0.24 (Stint at reserve)

NKI 6.83.Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  - 0.89

Harris 6.06.Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā + 0.09 (Stint at reserve)

Kvech 6.58.Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā - 0.68Ā

Not saying get rid, but they need to up it a bit.Ā

It’s more of a promising side compared with last season, however not a playoff side and will be ok for not picking up the wooden spoon this season.

i'd agree with that. Before the season started, i though we might get 4th. It will probably be 5th now. If we can up our game in the 2nd half of the season, and Leicester wobble, you never know.Ā

You’ll get 4th potentially now with Leicester losing Becker for the season.
