I seem to remember last year that we had a facility for Museilak for the first 28 days and after that it was a 75% facility. Essentially the club gets a month's grace if a rider witholds their services and after that they need to replace them or they only get a 75% guest.

That’s not as bad then, but we need to try and replace him before the 28 days is up incase he decides not to come back… can’t take that risk in my opinion

Ben Cook returned from his wrist injury which has kept him on the sidelines for 2 months on Sunday 15th June for his Polish Metalkas 2 Ekstraliga club Leszno scoring 12 points from his 5 rides, however immediately after the fixture Mr Cook complained of further wrist pain and was examined by his club’s medical staff.

Mr Cook is to receive further intensive rehabilitation in order to identify the problem and has been medically withdrawn from any further racing for a further 7 days.

The Speedway Control Bureau have received a medical certificate for Mr Cook ruling him out for a further 7 days as from the 15th June 2025.

Mr Cook’s Premiership Club Kings Lynn will be granted a facility for his absence during this period.

Not sure if it’s still a thing, but does he not need to ride in the UK to maintain his visa status? I’m sure it been mentioned that he’s living in Poole with Middleditch and to continue doing that he has to have a UK based job. Obviously at the minute being declared injured is bypassing that, but when he is fully fit surely he has to be riding for a UK club? 

Will be interesting to see what the situation with Pickering will be after he crashed today. Will Leszno put the squeeze on him as well, and play the game with Sheffield?

Probably not, it seems to happen to King’s Lynn more than any other team

Given that King's Lynn had already booked / announced a guest before Cook "re-injured" his wrist, the whole thing absolutely stinks!

Also as Leszno won 60-30, if Cook was struggling with his wrist why did he go out in the nominated races?

If we could get a rider to replace him permanently then I definitely would!! I agree it stinks to high heaven! If you don’t want to ride for the Stars anymore then don’t, just let the club know ffs! He’ll leave us hanging on and hanging on then not come back, then we will be even more screwed than we already are! 😠

For clarity they had booked Kildemand weeks ago before Cook had even had a practice to see how his wrist was. 

But agree with the rest. He obviously wants to ride in Poland but not the UK at the moment and it's a good question why he had five rides today. He will clearly get banned if he rides in Poland again and then miss the next Lynn fixture after that (BV away on Monday 23rd). Lynn aren't at home for three weeks after tomorrow, I'm guessing he and Leszno don't want him to ride on the grippy Lynn track until then at the earliest. 

Bottom line though is if he has a doctors note after today then there's not a lot anyone can do. I really hope we see him again and it's not another Museilak situation as Ben comes across as a genuine and honest fella.

A very different story to the post match summary from his Polish team manager who stated there was almost no sign of the injury and rhythm would return with more riding.....

Just Saying.....I would be very surprised if you see Ben Cook riding at King's Lynn anymore this season....Just something I heard in my Hotel in Manchester yesterday evening, and the source seriously couldn't be more reliable.....But its Speedway in the UK..So who knows
