Don't you find it difficult sometimes to tell who's who, particularly on TV? I do sometimes but that's due to the number on the backs not always being clear - to me its seems obvious to have riders number and name on the back just like in other sports - the days of me knowing which rider was which by leathers, sponsors and bike covers are long gone. blue witch
Bloody brilliant! When our top 2 wasn't even firing at full tilt and we can win by 10 away at BV. OUTSTANDING King gets a lot of criticism by me more than most but last night he set the tone for his season. Of course he will have off matches but at 2 if he can get 6+ most matches we will have a very good season. Thompson just kicking on again!! Leicester must be fuming they've let him go

Leicester must be fuming they've let him go Can see King having a spell at reserve this year the way Thompson's trajectory is going, which will do him no harm at all. I've been overly critical of him the last few years but effectively being the no 5/6 in averages should suit him well and turn him into the trump card that Harris is.
89buttons
Too much of Danny’s ippo career the expectations on him have been higher than his level, he’s never been a proper 1 or 5 in the top league but he’s had to be that and then overly criticised when come up short - now he’s not got the burden of those unrealistic expectations should go along quite nicely this season. Hawkins made a good point with king riding at 2 the majority of his rides come earlier in the meeting on a grippier track which will suit him also Great start last night for him and the team 😃

Danny just looked so likely from the get go and he even made Kurtz work for his Heat win. If Danny rides like that all season then on a good night Ipswich are looking at 20 points from the Doyle/King partnership alone.
szkocjasid
I always rated this Witches side as favourites & it looked as if only injuries could cost them the league. But now I feel I've underestimated them, maybe only injuries will stop them winning every match?

Arch Stanton
Just stumbled across this https://ipswichwitches.co/video/ipswich-v-belle-vue-2019/ What a race this was! The race with Doyle, Emil, Holder and Musielak a couple of season’s ago sticks in the memory, but this tops it.

Looks a bit different to the shale we use now? Fantastic racing. That little nudge from Fricke down the back straight which gave Cam a bit of a wobble 😅
89buttons
It’s a shame camo never realised his early potential, bags of ability. the top Aussie boys have always ridden him hard around Ipswich, none of them like losing to each other do they, max is a fair rider tho 💯 seem to remember cam tucking jack holder up a couple of times years ago and jack being absolutely fuming about it 🤣

He was like Cowboy Cook on steroids! Spectacular to watch around Foxhall. Swept all before him at junior level and had the world at his feet. Had the talent to go right to the top but tragically, not the professionalism or the will and determination to do so.

Great race wasn't it, I reckon Fricke thought that late nudge would have secured that 5-1, on his day Heeps could be really very good!

I think fricke thought he’d done enough in the turn to kill cams speed rather than a deliberate nudge and he was caught unawares by cam still winding it on round the outside! 1 hour ago, Aries said: There was a couple of seasons back to back where sadly, you’d now have to describe them as his peak years where every meeting these highlight heats were uploaded and he was the centre of every one of them. Dad and I went to Mildenhall pretty much every weekend that first season he came over as a 15 year old mid season and was just beating everyone, he was an absolutely unreal raw talent, and very nearly won mildenhall the grand final, narrowly losing out to the two worrall brothers

Depends on your allegiance I guess 😂 I felt for cam at the end cos he did bloody everything and just didn’t quite have a second rider the same level to support him in the big races at the end against the Worralls where there was obviously two of them to gang up on him
