I see what your saying, But as a rider at any level. Wouldn't you want to take the best measures to protect yourself. Whether compulsory or not. Absolutely, I can't understand why every rider doesn't wear a neck brace unless they don't work, in which case why do a lot of riders wear them. Jason Doyle is wearing an inflatable vest this season, understandable... but Bomber now doesn't wear them. Personally I'd make both compulsory much like air fences.ย Edited Sunday at 10:21 PM by IainB

That's why none of the top riders in other sports like Motocross wear them.

I was sure Iโd seen loads of moto-x riders wearing them but it must have just been a fancy scarf shaped like a neck brace or something like thatโฆโฆ. However they can be uncomfortable - with speedway it's really important you can move your body about easily, this was one of the attractions with modern suits over leather because protection wise I don't think they're as good. Adults make choices with risk, that's life.ย Edited yesterday at 07:54 AM by SPEEDY69
szkocjasid Posted yesterday at 11:17 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 11:17 AM It's never nice for riders to get injured & naturally I wish Luke all the best, but as it happens so often on Speedway, it's hard not to think about how it will effect the teams plans. Now that Becker has done to 2nd in the Lions averages, r/R should cover well (though I wouldn't use it at number 2). It's always hard to know how long a rider will be out for as some make miraculous recoveries, possibly too early for their own safety. Hopefully Luke will be fit enough to return before the end of the season.

"Luke suffered fractures of his thoracic vertebrae in the Th3, Th5 and Th7 sections. Fortunately, the player retains sensation and can move his legs, which means that the spinal cord was not severed," the Ostrรณw club said in an official statement. dont think he will be back this season

Would be a good time to suggest that Sam Masters try and pick up as many bonus points as possible [I'd be tempted to move him to 3 or 4 and put Dougy at 5]
