Stick a contract under his nose and give him the opportunity to earn more money and there’s always the chance of a change of heart.

Worrall’s Championship average is less than Becker’s Premiership average…nah. Dickson seems to have no issue with binning riders and bringing them back. I wonder if he’s made contact with Nick Morris. He may have not raced for a while but his ban does not stop him from practicing and there are plenty of opportunities for that at Leicester. No thanks, wouldn't want him near BP again.

Yeah and a month ago when Scunny were at Poole they interviewed him on the stream and he gave reasons for it. Would be interesting to see if he would go for it if offered though. szkocjasid
8 hours ago, IainB said: And he's probably right to be averse, Leicester's success over the last couple of seasons has mainly been due to our riders not missing any matches, most of them have been ever present or only missed 1 meeting... Steve Worrall could fit the bill? I can't see any reason for signing Steve Worrall at all, apart from the "principle" of wanting a full team. Think Leicester would be stronger with r/r or Prem guests, there's always a chance Worrall may take a guest booking or two when every Prem club is riding (bar one) and options are limited, but when they have other options could pick a stronger guest than Worrall. I don't think the rules encourage teams to make changes, as in this case Leicester look stronger keeping Becker in the 1-7. If Becker drops down the teams averages, then guests will be more worthwhile, but at the moment r/r should work.
IainB
Just catching up with the BSN meeting... and I can't believe that Nick Morris is even in Mr Dickson's thinking! Has he learnt nothing from the Craig Cook episode?!?

I'd expect nothing less than a humbling apology to all Leicester fans before I'd even waste my water on him. Has he learnt nothing from the Craig Cook episode?!? I must admit, I was more than a touch surprised. But I was reminded of the time that Bomber was dropped by Leicester and then he was seen chatting to Stuart Dickson a week or two later. It was said at the time that you can't afford to bear a grudge; it's too small a community. If Nick Morris came in and started scoring anywhere near the points Luke was putting on the board, I suspect people would have very short memories. As @40-38 eluded to, I can't ever remember Morris addressing the fans re his misdemeanor and 2 whole years off takes quite some coming back from I would have thought, for me I'd rather stay with R/R if it was a toss up between the 2. Question for Leicester fans saying that they wouldn’t support the Lions with Nick Morris in the team I agree an apology to fans for letting the team down is required. If Patrick Dudek agreed to ride for the Lions would the same apply ? As he got banned for drug use as well and proved can come back to succeed . I believe that if Nick decides to come back to UK this year there are multiple Premiership and Championship clubs interested but one advantage Leicester can offer is free track time to get back up to race fitness and bike time Edited June 21 by flagrag

Same with Boxhall, Worrall et al. I might be persuaded if they prostrate themselves at the feet of the fans in apology and pay for testing before every meeting, but none of those I've mentioned seem remotely apologetic about being utter idiots. Dudek didn't let Leicester down, Morris did. I don't know if Dudek issued any kind of apology to Zielona Góra fans, there was silence from Morris, Dudek only received a 1 year ban and went on to become a world class rider, Morris never showed any signs of improving to become any where near world class and had reached his level imo. If Morris were to come back to Leicester he needs to show some contrition for the many people he let down.

THE DEAN MACHINE
Interesting point regarding drug testing, the dopping people seem to be upping their game at more and more events, they turned up at the grasstrack on Sunday at chadderley corbet and without putting 2+2 together something odd occurred, those who were there will know what I mean, were they going to turn up somewhere else tonight ?
