I enjoyed that meeting. Regarding the missing Russians, I still think Bartosz would win it even if they were there, he is that good.

Well done Brady Kurtz too, a brilliant debut.

Sayfutdinov is not in Zmarzlik's class currently. Needs to get his motors sorted, looks miles off the WC currently. Even regarding Laguta I have my doubts.

Kudos to Zmarzlik he is a great WC.

I will never not be a fan of zmarzlik, his attitude to winning is matched by his talent and imo is by far the greatest rider the sport has ever had, his pass on Thompson tonight was just pure class, started a lap before by showing Thompsen his front wheel up the inside making Thompsen change his line leaving zmarzlik to go where he needs to get the speed to pass him ,irrespective of how good the opposition is or isn’t, it is arguably harder to beat anyone nowadays because all 16 riders have pretty much identical engines obviously with their own set ups which wasn’t the case back in the 60s 70’s 80s or any decade you care to mention, when the few had far superior engines to the rest of the field, speedway has had some greats over the years but imo none had the complete package like zmarzlik

GP points

1st Zmarzlik 20

2nd Bewley 18

3rd Lebedevs 16

4th Kurtz 14

5th Lindgren 12

6th Kubera 11

7th Fricke 10

8th Lambert 9

9th J Holder 8

10th Thomsen 7

Why is Holder above Thomsen ?

I thought that the points scored in the 20 qualifying heats were used to determine the positions of the riders finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the LCQ’s, meaning Thomsen’s 9pts should have given him the higher GP finish than Holder with his 8pt haul?

Confused !

The vast number of fans will never see how good he is due to rip off prices to watch our sport!

Its hard to see anyone stopping Zmarzlik in the next 3/4 years. He could well go on to be a 10x world champion.

as good a rider as Laguta is, I don't see him getting anywhere near Zmarzlik in the GPs now.

We paid £45 for tickets last night and there were plenty of touts outside the stadium offering them for around £25 which I feel is value

I agree, laguta is a brilliant rider and very fast but I’ve seen laguta when the track doesn’t suit him, you don’t see that in zmarzlik, there is plenty of riders who beat zmarzlik but those riders then go missing in the next round, even on his bad days zmarzlik never goes missing

A few people (possibly even Crump & Rickardsson said it) tried to make it sound like Lambert was his main challenger after "getting the monkey off his back" with a first GP win. But the very next round he failed to make the semi final.

I can't see anyone getting close to Zmarzlik, feel he's gonna be the first rider to win 7 world titles. Probably more of injury doesn't stop him.

I agree i was meaning for the armchair fans.

The streams are there .I watched it on one was expecting polish commentary but got Tatum  Louis and interview s .Think it’s all done and dusted the only thing that will stop Zmarzlik is an injury.

Think the guy stretchered off may have been a photographer who fell off his stool when the crash happened directly infront of him

No. It was a fan with a Polish t-shirt who decided to jump over the fence to go and help the rider. He just forgot to take his legs with him and landed head first.

A lot of running by the paramedics behind the scenes, must have been bad…

I'd say Kurtz might bring a few challenges to a few finals this year to get Zmarzlik thinking but apart from that, Zmarzlik will win it again, now I watch SGP hoping someone else will win a meeting, just to bring some jeopardy, but he is so much better than anyone else it's crazy. It's like he is working on tick over majority of the meeting and then when he actually need to take it to another level he just changes gear. Brilliant rider, such a shame he couldn't make it work out to replace Doyle last season at Foxhall, not just for Ipswich, but to see how he attacks and rides the tracks in England.

He certainly wasn't on tick over last night though, he was on it right from heat 1 his gander was obviously up. Everybody considered as his main rivals were bang average apart from Bewley and Kurtz.

I still think Zmarzlik would win, but the last time they were in, Laguta beat him!!!! He's not had the chance to defend his title.  No one is going to tell me that having Laguta & Emil in the GPs in place of Kvech & Huckenbeck would not be a good thing for everyone except the 2 omitted riders.

Really disappointed with huckenbeck last night, thought being home rider he would be in the mix, Kvech was Kvech but i agree laguta and sayfutinow should be there but who let the FIM do there virtue signaling?
