must be Rew in that case?

Nope, we’ll only be able to use someone from Leicester if we did have a guest for Cook against Ipswich on May 5th (Howarth or Kemp)… as Aces vs Tigers is at midday and Oxford vs Birmingham is at 1pm 👍🏻 I can’t see any of those 4 teams riders getting to Foxhall to help the Stars out by 2:15pm 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

Definitely see your point but R/R for your fifth means four rides for Boughen and if anything goes wrong you can be down to five riders and in a whole world of hurt.

So can see the logic.

Understand your point, but I’d have taken the risk on this occasion.

Definitely R/R for me Bagpuss. That would be my preference if I were a Lynn fan anyway.

Good spot! Not him then. Rew was the only Witch from 2024 that isn’t riding this year for Ipswich so not sure who the poster is referring to.

It would have to be R/R with Kvech and Klindt taking Cook’s rides (which I think is what we’ll go with)… or the pretty in form Howarth guesting if Rob really wanted a full 7 🤷🏻‍♂️

And in fairness we could use a T/S for one of Ashton's rides, I'm sure we'll be using one! 😵

I’m more interested in seeing the outside line tried! They’ve worked hard sorting out the camber during the winter and actually giving the track some better banking, but it hasn’t been tested yet so we’ve no idea if it’s made any improvement! I’m sure Bomber will put it to the test Monday. If he doesn’t then nobody will.

Good performance and win from KL. But there will be greater tests to come at home. Oxford are incredibly poor and need wholesale changes. I'm always one for giving riders a chance but the season is a write off already. Top of the list to go has to be Tungate whose performances have been unacceptable for a No.1. And last night's coverage were being kind to Kildemand, continually saying that he has won Grand Prixs in the past and was beating the best in the world. That's the whole point, it was in the past! He is way past his best and his current form is Championship level. The gamble/experiment on him for the Spires has failed.

For KL, the enigma that is Ashton Boughen continues. He flies from the gate, he wins. He misses it, game over. Doesn't seem interested in mixing it to make up places. That trait blighted his late season form for Oxford last year and has continued into '25.

A bit like the match at Foxhall last week this was over by heat 3 - very good showing from Kings Lynn but the Spires just look a bit of a mess right now, Good to see Janowski improving however he was about the only bright spot for Oxford last night.

It seems maybe its a 5 way fight for the playoffs maybe!

I think Leicester will still pip us to it, unless we can get something when we go there

With teams struggling to get riders in the first place/replacement riders why are we seriously not looking at going to 6 rider teams?

I have suggested this for the past few years. It means more money for riders and reduced amount of guests and searching for riders

Isn’t that what we effectively already have though? With all due respect, very few if any of the rising stars would be selected in six man teams so if we just stopped using the rising stars it would make little to no difference. Teams would just use their current top six. Unless they went with a top five, and then a rising star at Six and lowered the limit forcing teams to release or not use, one of their better riders.

What's up with Tungate, he's a better rider than he's showing, does he need a boot up his behind rather than a softly softly approach lol  Perhaps they all do apart from Magic 🎩

I'm hoping Rob has got a surprise up his sleeve for cover for Cooky lol What is it, 5 more weeks?

I heard on the terraces last night he was doing some laps in Poland over the weekend. I found it hard to believe 2 weeks post-op, but the person was adamant

Unfortunately for us, Leicester is the only team not riding next Monday. So looks like it could be RR, or Howarth, or Kemp , in that one.

Unless theres a Cook miracle, as Starboy was told, i think we will go with guests or RR until Cook is back.👍

R/R will be fine at home, as Kvech 1 ride, Klindt 2 rides and Boughen 1 ride should score the same/if not more than what Cook had to start the season.

We will struggle either way away, and with our next next 2 fixtures at Ipswich and Leicester it looks pretty daunting.
