British Final Belle Vue Monday 12th May Live on TV

Regardless of what happens from here on in, what a classic British Championship it's been and a great advert for the sport... it's just a shame there's not many there to see it. Can only hope it's got blockbuster viewing figures!

Show me better racing anywhere else. Harris and king in last one, lambert, wright Thompson in that one!

Great racing on a track which is not too grippy or wet and the boys are turning it on. Come the GP, Best riders on view. Whats the betting the track will be overwatered! You would like to think Morris would look at the racing tonight and know this is how the track should be prepared. Lets hope so!!

It's been a great meeting, but british speedway doesn't half struggle for an atmosphere.

Breaks my heart that the sport can be so good but just not reaching the general public

If they don't know about it, they never will attend...

As a "shared event" I presume all the promoters and Phil Morris got together and led the marketing and promotional plan for their "No 1 Flagship Event of 2025"?...

If so. The minutes of that meeting mustn't have took much typing up...-_-:D

The debate on which biscuits to buy took up all the time allotted.

This meeting has not even reached the Speedway public! As I've posted elsewhere, punters didn't turn out for the qualifier either yet they will turn out to watch a load of contrived teams each week, although admittedly not in great numbers... it's a real head scratcher 🤔

Have to add, that the action tonight is very much the exception to the general rule though.

I think the problem we've got is that Sports fans in the UK have so many Sporting events to choose from when it's comes to a Day/Night out and Speedway is way down the pecking order.

We've got top level Football, Darts which is at an all time high etc and fans cant afford to attend all of them.

Other than speedway anoraks who would know this meeting took place and for the t v viewing public, who would pay TNT, therefore what does the avid follower of good racing expect. A shame that a wider audience such as was the case with Eurosport is deprived because on the insular self interested decision makers who negotiated away the t v rights to the sport on a platform that few are willing to pay a premium to watch. What are these fools on, the sport needs to reach a wider audience not some niche broadcaster (in speedway terms which is not what the sport needs).

Well according to your post even when people know about it they can’t afford to go because you have to go to SGP 😂

I don't think the powers that be had any choice other than to switch from Eurosport to TNT though did they? It was WBD that made the decision to close Eurosport down in the UK.

After this they should all be locked in a room and ask each other the questions of why a poor crowd, pricing? Promoting? Race night ? Tv ? Combination of all, something different but for the future of the sport do something

Can Lambo stop Dan tonight. I have my doubts. Would like to see Dan win, as he rides the UK.

My sentiments too.

I backed Bomber e/w earlier, my only bet, just though he may be up for one (or 2) more appearances on the World stage, come on Bomber, big finale!!
