Berwick v Poole Championship 17/05/25 7pm

Recommended Posts

It’s Saturday, the sun is shining and the Pirates are in town for what’s set to be a back and forth meeting which is bound to be a cracker. Poole have a fantastic top 4 and with ex Bandits Lewi Kerr and Paul Starke in the mix it’s bound to be a tough test, however I have full faith the Bandits can step up and start the league campaign with a victory as we start our march to the Play Offs.

Get yourself along early for a pint in the sunshine, alcoholic and non alcoholic choices available.

As an ex rider Kerr should be our top scorer tonight.

Lewi rode 13 meetings last season for Berwick.

Averaged 5.83 at home from 6 meetings, and 8.00 away from 7 meetings.

Should be your top scorer tonight you say.

aye he does go around A lot slower the regular drivers are lik eWacky Races. Still say they need to blade it and bring dirt back from fence seeing as the rakes are in a time capsule 😁😁

If you purchase the the stream and you don’t watch it live,I assume you can watch it later or next day?

Just bought the stream and says you have 30 days to watch it. Also cheapest championship stream at £11.99 now.

So slow. Didn’t expect this when he was signed. I thought he would be a good do the job rider. He’s been poor

I did. Kerr and Starke well past their sell by date.

Hats of to Sam Hagon. His decline last year was strange. Went from beating everyone when he was at reserve. Then became the u21 champion. He then lost all speed and confidence and was a passenger in the Poole team for the last couple months last year

Bye bye Kerr.

For who? If was an available HL one of about 4 teams would've moved for him already. And I'm guessing Rowe's improvement levels out Kerr so making 2 changes be difficult.

Brennan and Cook (when fit) would be on reassessed averaged based on the prem so be too high I'd think too. As we found last year it's not just that simple anymore to make changes

Would Ben and Tom be on Reassessed averages? Would surprise me if they were and would certainly make them unobtainable

It may have changed but as I understand if rider doesn't start in that league, he can only join that league again based on an average assessed on the league they are in. 1.5 x that average from prem to champ last I recall seeing

To throw a 5-1 into a 2-4 in heat 14 is a fitting way for Poole end this northern trip.
we’ve rode our luck with opposing riders making errors and bike mechanicals when they’ve been leading.

Had Starke not of fallen off on the last bend of heat 14 Poole would’ve stolen a draw and a crack at the stupid heat

Nice to see Kerr grab a couple wins and to go round C-Cook in his last few rides.
Starke clearly feeling the affects of his heat 3 crash. Hope he recovers fast.

Do think Poole still lack at reserve. Last few years they’ve been built on having 1 strong reserve(if not 2) I do think Cairns will make this Poole team competitive with the Glasgows Oxford and Redcarr lineups

I do think there could be a chance of 2/3 changes when Cairns is available if Starke and Kerr still don’t hit the heights we’d of expected
