racers and royals Posted yesterday at 03:02 PM Author Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:02 PM What hasn’t been confirmed yet i think is if today’s draw is for both days- Sportowefakty say it isn’t and there is a new draw for tomorrow, which if true must be by ballot. It would be nice to have confirmation.
Steve0 Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM Good luck to the promoters tonight and tomorrow. I hope it is the success that everyone is hoping it will be. The stadium is no Principality stadium but if the racing is as good as the British Final - final race then that is what people remember and hopefully want to attend in the future. Most importantly, I hope the weather plays ball since they can't rely on the roof they had in Cardiff.

Doyle made a very late decision to ride, even bet 365 were taking bets on Madsen and not Doyle riding, As for the sprint races it's all about opinions. Glad you enjoyed it. THE DEAN MACHINE Posted yesterday at 03:40 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:40 PM If the Muslim or Sikh community were running the GP Gorton would of been alive with streets buzzing with attractions and things to do just like the early years of Cardiff instead discovery put up some scaffolding with a big M on it and think that will entertain fans, some of you must of been to the weston super mare beach race, look how the organisers take over the town making it an event, discovery do nothing and that’s why people won’t go, it’s just a meeting not an event

Cardiff city centre lends itself to there being plenty going on and the stadium is just a short walk away, whereas Gorton is nothing more than a big housing estate. This weekend is a virtual sellout, couldn't expect better given the state of the sport in this country. I've never attended a speedway meeting for the occasion, always in the hope of decent racing, Wednesday night British Finals at Brandon, just a big mad dash to get there for tapes up and straight home after. The BLRC at Hyde Rd, always a sellout approaching 25k in attendance, all for the speedway. So there we have it, you like a party atmosphere, no doubt plenty agree with you, but there are also lots of us who just want to see good racing and are not arsed about you what you happy clappers want, each to their own. Here's hoping it's a great weekend of exciting speedway. If anyone wants to carry on after the meeting then Manchester City centre is a 10minute Uber ride away, sorted.

Buts that the problem there isn’t lots of you or enough, we all want great racing but a potential punters aren’t going to be tempted by a meeting, 15 folk up the man cave today who have all been regulars at Cardiff and dragged their family’s along, not one going this weekend and the all acknowledge the great racing belle vue can provide

There was hardly one extra fan at any track the week after because of the GB GP being held there.. And there wasn't any increased publicity for the sport in the audio, visual and written media... It is folly to think that any GB GP will suddenly ignite the UK domestic racing scene.. It never has, and won't over the next two days.. The people who will appreciate the (hopefully), great racing will be the fans of the sport... Not many of those non fans watching on TV (if there are any in any numbers), will be going on line to see if they have a track nearby, regardless of how great the entertainment will be.. Landshut and Prague don't boost the domestic scene in their countries, and the NSS will be exactly the same... Well done to Mark Lemon for providing a place to hold the GP's.. And best wishes to Brady, Dan, Robert and Charles (in any order), tonight... All "Aces Legends"... 1
Grand Central Posted yesterday at 04:29 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 04:29 PM (edited) Great ride by Kurtz in the only race of the afternoon. The rest was a complete waste of an hour an a half in the house rather than being in the sunshine in the Garden. Total borefest that Tatum and Louis were wise to avoid. WBD really are dimwits. It’s not the GPs job to improve British speedway although you would hope there was people in the sport who would capitalise on the showcase event to help the domestic sport but have you never dealt with said people? I’m surprised we have got this far

The damage that dump has been allowed to do to British Speedway is unforgivable and will take years to fix. Thankfully the healing starts now while the Cardiff sycophants cry into their dinners.
