szkocjasid Posted yesterday at 09:15 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:15 AM Result could go either way, slightly favour Oxford, but no way can I see Scunthorpe winning by 20+ points to progress to the next round. Will be interesting to see what Gusts can do at Champ level.
Mr Bee Posted yesterday at 09:35 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:35 AM Looking forward to another trip to the EWR. I think "we" (I've adopted Scunny) can do it. I'm going for a last heat aggregate decider. 😆

Tosh1218 Posted yesterday at 03:46 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:46 PM Tonight will hinge on the two older rider in each side Sam Masters & Simon Lambert if Masters has an off night like he has in the past this tie might get interesting
Mr Bee Posted yesterday at 09:51 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:51 PM Not the aggregate win I predicted 🤐 but a terrific meeting none the less. Luke Harrison was superb value once again, a great paid 19. On heat 8, Lambert for me got Killeen on the line. Apparently the transponder said differently. I was told the wire under the track wasn't lined up with the white line? 🤔 All in all a good win on the night against one of the more fancied teams in the league. Tbh, the view on the center green showed Killeen got the 2nd, and fair play to him that was some ride. Enjoyable meeting tonight, even though on aggregate it was all over before it started
eric i Posted yesterday at 10:46 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 10:46 PM I thought Mitch McDiarmid was very impressive for 17 year old who had never seen the track before. Scunny out both cups and have already dropped points at home in the league, its going to be a short season (7 more home meetings).
Bojangles
Based on Luke Harrison's performance tonight, the Spires could do a lot worse than giving him a chance in the top league as a rising star (it'll also give Killeen a good chance to reset a bit). Harrison also rides Oxford pretty well.

As there's no asset system anymore and some of these RS's are put through the mincer on a regular basis and most clubs don't seem to mind who rides for them when it comes to guests etc... I wonder if there's any value in having a pool of RS's that move around the clubs, like on a merry go round, on a month by month basis. So Killeen starts the season and spends April at Oxford, May at Leicester, June at Sheffield, July at Belle Vue, August at Birmingham and September at King's Lynn etc. etc. Just an idea

Luke is only 17 and very impressive on the bike as he showed in the U/21’s.No point in rushing him in his career. I’m sure he will be good rider in the future.

Yes I like him, has a good future in my opinion but needs to take time not rush things.
Hilly
I'd like to think if this was a league match, McDiarmid would be getting 6 rides. Looks like a very good rider in the making. With the aggregate tie all over from early on, no problem giving everyone their full quota.
OldtimerRay
Yes, McDiarmid was excellent, perhaps you would consider a straight swap with him and Lambert 😂😂😂
