Zach scored well at Belle Vue the other day which is encouraging, hopefully he can perform well tonight. Saying that Kerr got 16 at Kings Lynn but has ridden poorly since, seems to be having a lot of mechanical issues, Starke is just not that good anymore, we have to except that but he should have the beating of Trigger and Cluff.

Starke is doing exactly what he should be as a 3.5+pointer. He's upped his starting average!!

Exactly. He is normally getting 4/5 points a meeting. Again fans just forget that reserves are just supposed to beat opposition reserves. If they beat anyone from oppositions top 5 then that is just a bonus.

You’d expect Starke to have the beating of both Plymouth reserves, I expect Ritchings to be amongst some points today aswell.
I’ve been more impressed with Ritchings in his few meetings than I have been with Starke so far.

Starke is doing the job he was expected to do but to be a good Team you need a reserve who is going to improve his form and stand up when one of the Top 5 is having a bad night.Poole are going be relying on Cairns being that rider on their current form.IMO

Yes I agree, some have higher expectations. What I would say is that he should be beating all the 2 pointers, I just think we should have kept Vinnie who has more improvement in him.

BREAKING NEWS....

News breaking in parts of Dorset and Hampshire

Shock news that Poole Pirates are NOT the only Team who use Whatsapp / Facetime / Zoom or the good old fashioned Team Meeting to discuss tactis on a regular basis!

Middlo has defintely lost the Dressing Room - simply - any one can manage a Team that wins every week, far harder to manage a team delivering below expectations....time for him to earn his money!

Agree, Starke's not a problem (plus you can see he's putting the effort into his rides) and Ritchings doing pretty much what's expected of him too. Lawson & Rowe all good, with Tobias starting to come on song.

Leaving Kerr and Cook, personally I feel that Kerr is getting better as the season goes on, but needs to be more consistent. We all know that Cook can be a great racer, but seems a bit off some of the time for the Pirates at the moment. I think that putting him back at four would take some pressure off him, and help him get back in the groove.

Really looking forward to this evening, "should be" a great night.

Zach has been at 4 for 98% of the meetings though! Only last home meeting he has been at 5 so far!

Not sure about that. Vinnie would have been under a lot of pressure to get the points until Cairns comes in. I think Starke is experienced enough to take the pressure.

I think that was why Paul was chosen over Vinnie, more experience

I think Vinnie had a lot of improvement still to come although to be honest he has yet to show it this season. Starke as you say could work out better as he can be a help to Cairns when they ride together and benefit from his experience. Not sure it matters where Zach rides really as long as he rides a bit better than he has done.
