szkocjasid
A couple of thoughts from Cami Brown's match report on Tigers FB page “I knew it would be tough tonight. Victor Palovaara at reserve is ridiculous, let’s be honest. He’s not a reserve, he’s miles better than that." Firstly why is Palovaara at reserve rediculous? Edinburgh were clever enough to build a team where he started at reserve. Remember when Glasgow signed Tarasenko on a 5.00 Champ ave, despite him also being on a 5.00 Prem ave which was about to go up to 6.45 (meaning a converted 9.5+ Champ ave) did Cami say that was ridiculous at the time? Glasgow just used the rules, which were available to all the clubs, just like Edinburgh have done this year. Secondly, no mention of Boughen not competing 3 rides. If he was ill, you'd think Glasgow would announce they are putting in a complaint that he wasn't signed off, not allowing a reserve to come in. If he just didn't fancy it, should Glasgow not say they are dissapointed with what happened & are dealing with it behind closed doors? Do Glasgow not owe it to their fans who paid to watch / for the stream for some honesty about the situation? 6

I think your misinterpreting what Cami has said......Nobody, not even the Edinburgh promoters would have predicted Victor would be scoring 19/20 points a meeting and beating heat leaders. It was a shrewd signing and all credit to them. But surely you can see that a reserve rarely scores double figures and beats the opposing heat leaders. The Tarasenko comparison isn't quite the same though, still a shrewd signing which obvs helped us win the league but he wasn't at reserve...... What i'd like to know is why didn't Glasgow sign Victor ? Just imagine if they had done so instead of signing Brougen.... I think they signed Boughen because they thought as Kings Lynn probably do that riding with Harris would help him get back to the form he is capable of but unfortunately that hasnt happened. Now we have a new scenario when he gets no points at all and refused to take all his rides, if he rides tomorrow for Kings Lynn and does the same he will be sacked, Buster Chapman will not accept it. He may have been sacked by Glasgow who knows what has happened behind the scenes.

But he was riding with Harris for the Spires when he lost it, so that seems a rather perverse rationale

Once the Club are ready to make an announcement they will.what difference does it make when they announce it. Regards to Victor he also said we all know Victor will get seven and a half rides whilst laughing. if you are going to have your usual pop at least don’t be selective in what you put down. 1

marko
Victor has been tearing it up, the last time I saw a reserve hit those kind of scores was Pavlic for Swindon many years ago. But the thing is these riders will only stay as reserve for so long. If only Monarchs were in a slightly better shape they could have stormed the league this season. mac101
pretty sure he was well over 7 when he last rode over here so to get him recessed on a 5 was pretty clever
