Why is Brennan in for Holder?

I've been trying to convince some football loving people at work to come along and watch. I now hope they don't want to come because I'm damned if I can give them a plausible explanation that wont make them lose interest immediately.

Don't say anything, if they are new to Speedway they'll just assume Brennan is a Sheffield rider.

British speedway show in its loyalty to teams :D Sheffield and Ipswich fighting for position in the league but our riders help out Sheffield. So much nonsense and unfairness… guesting for a team who aren’t battling out in the league I guess is ok buts when you both so close on points?

You would think for Ipswich's benefit they'd want Sheffield to lose?

Maybe should've had an agreement, Brennan can guest for you, if Holder then guests for Doyle?

I can’t speak for all Witches fans but personally, Sheffield can keep holder. I wouldn’t want him anywhere near foxhall and rather RR for Doyle.

I guess it’s Brennan decision and not Louis or Hawkins? Stupid though, unless he is going to throw it!

Holder is riding in a SGP qualifier tomorrow afternoon in Germany.

Doesn't say much for his belief in his ability to be world champion if he's not even confident of keeping his place without it.

Biggest joke. He is in the SGP, if you don’t think you’re good enough to get top 7 then don’t bother entering, trying to get another way in isn’t fair! Sheffield should come first, not your individual commitments. Biggest joke of the sport IMO!

Yeah just seen latest update:

There, it turned out that the 25-year-old had suffered a serious injury, which practically meant the end of his season. "Luke suffered fractures of his thoracic vertebrae in the Th3, Th5 and Th7 sections. Fortunately, the player retains sensation and can move his legs, which means that the spinal cord was not severed," the Ostrów club said in an official statement (full text below).

Don't think he would want to ride that rough Ipswich track anyway, he prefers the silky smooth Owlerton circuit.

I think you might have your work cut out there! If Becker isn’t fit to take his place tomorrow, it is possible that Danny King could guest for the Lions (think they might go with R/R though). If King did guest, you would have to tell your mates that King and Brennan actually ride for the same team (Ipswich) but neither of them are riding for their own team and will be riding against each other😂. If that doesn’t put them off and they want to attend further meetings, you should become a promoter!

Rider replacement for Leicester tomorrow with all riders able to take a ride even Fricke in heat 8 as only race he can do.

I think club will continue with this until next averages then look where they are with replacement options as come July some riders may be interested in UK racing possibly

Although, if they're interested enough after watching it, and look for other scores, they'll wonder why Brennan rides for Ipswich against Sheffield on Thursday night ...

He's not the only one looking for the safety route

I think fhey will believe this....

Telll them that Tom has signed for Sheffield from Ipswich...

And ishould they stay watching the sport, and notice that the very same Tom Brennan is riding for Ipswich regularly....

Tell them that Tom didn't like riding for Sheffield so went back!!!...

Tell them that UK Speedway allows you to see if you like your new team mates before signing permanently..

A seven day change of mind policy...

:D
